Regarding byron, he might try something to reach Sarah through Jesse or Dan, I don't think he knows Lester. Honestly, he doesn't add much to the story so I don't think people will miss him. I personally prefer Jesse over him and I hate Jesse.

I've been giving this some thought and I don't believe that these "random" encounters are so random after all. If I were DS (which I'm not) I would use these scenarios to test the waters with my audience. Using the other guys as an opportunity to see how the audience would interact with them and if it was negative move on but if something got good reviews keep it in the story line.

Example (for me anyway): When Richard came on the scene, I immediately thought this was setting up as a power rivalry btwn Lester and Richard over who would "own" Sarah. I'm not on the discord so I don't know others reactions but I didn't care for it.

But it would be smart to use this strategy as a focus group for your work, prior to committing to it.

Yeah I don't think DS's original outline survived CH 10. I'm sure he had something plotted out the way he saw the story going but then once he realized what the story had become to his fans, he realized he needed to alter it to make all the new ideas work. And on that note - even if she does become pregnant, doesn't mean she can't still have sex. Granted one would think her maternal instincts would kick in after she confirms she will have it and not risk these wild random encounters that could harm the child. Yes! Chapters 11-16 were my favorite. Especially 16 because Sarah in that chapter felt, dare i say, genuine. Her work is full of stress and the her marriage is filled with financial strain. She constantly had to be the adult in the room, even during sex. She was a wife, mother, daughter, friend, colleague, object of desire.We only saw her through others eyes and it seems like Sarah also perceived herself as such . That D&D chapter is the first time we witnessed a Sarah not defined by any of these and we saw what that Sarah is capable of. She couldn't halfass the gf part because she wanted it to be. Like you, this made me think Lester would notice this and lean more on the girlfriend experience as it's something that has been sorely missing in her life (a sense of freedom) that only he could provide.
