hmm growing a beard is a nice touch, quite realistic. We don't see much of his face anyway but I think he looks better like this.
That's true, although I gotta say, some shots were very badly pohotshopped... I hope they'll be a bit more careful going forward...

Altho, tbh, this last update felt a bit short and rushed... I wonder if they've been a bit busier than usual. I mean, no biggie 'cause of the monthly schedule, so a shorter update from time to time is fine, but I hope they take a bit more care with the post.

Oh, I didn't know that ILSProductions were making a new game, and I'm very happy to see that it follows the same vibes as their first game N&T...

I played until the last update and it looks promising, I don't think it's at the level of N&T yet, but well, we can get there. I haven't played the other game yet because it's a bit harder to digest, but I plan to do so soon.

Finally, a quick question: do you know if the transaction fee for subscribestar is also monthly or is it only implemented with the first payment? I have another subscription there and I pay the regular amount for the tier I have chosen, but when I tried to subscribe to ILSP I saw that it has fees.

I've seen that ILSP has very few followers for a team that has already released two games, I hope I can help even if it's only tier 1 or tier 2, don't know yet because I have other subs.

I can't speak to the SS transaction fee, but I do pay a sales tax/VAT 'fee' every month for each SS creator I support.

I live in the US, and each receipt lists my zip code, so I suspect that others pay a different fee based on where they live and how their country/state treats internet sales.

As to TID - if you have not started it yet, Kinderfeld's team is working on the Director's Cut rev of TID.

I enjoyed TID and almost all its endings (I did not choose several of the women - personal choice - at the end and I will say no more to avoid spoilers).

I am looking forward to starting anew once the DC is out as TID is getting a major rework that changes the middle and last third of the story and expanding on the ending(s).

Cheers!! :coffee:

TOXICity 0.06.0 update #2

At this point in the development cycle, we have one scene to end the build left to write and shoot, and then some stuff to fill in the creases between the major moments. The funny thing about this chapter is that we did one of the last scenes first because of how important it is to a specific arc. It's one of those "this has to be done just right" moments.
I have to say, it is nice to go back to a more straightforward, streamlined experience. Yeah, TID was a fun ride, and it had a ton of characters I loved writing for, but it got a bit unwieldy towards the end, especially with all the continuity rewrites. Focusing on a smaller cast in a linear story allows me not to have to consider the dozen other things going on at the same time in the background.

Thanks for your patronage,
-Kinderfeld

FYI - there is also an update for TID posted on that thread.

Cheers!! :coffee:

Had no idea ILS had a new game.

Loved first one was a masterpiece, haven't tried the second one not sure if I will like it, but I'll wait for the DC version to give it a go.

Now this one, this has now and then vibes which I prefer. Really liking it so far, can't wait for v0.06.

So, I'm reposting Kinderfeld's patreon latest posts that went public here:

TOXICity 0.06.0 update #1

30th april

Here we are, back into development mode. So, how about that reveal at the end? We're going to try hard not to spoil anything about girl #3 until you have 0.06.0 in your hands, but that's going to be difficult, considering her introduction is a major point in the chapter. Maybe slap a blur block over her in screenshots (kidding, mostly).
I'm sure some of you have noticed that when it comes to writing, TOXICity is more of a return to how we handled N&T. For each game (story/book/etc.), you have to find a specific tone, voice, and lexicon of terminology that gives it a unique voice. One element of this is what I like to call "levels", where the narrative is arranged with a certain pace/detail in mind. Think of it as a depth of view on a scene, where the "camera" may be pulled back to show less detail because the action dictates a wider field.
With TID, we pulled back a fair bit, meaning that we didn't delve super deep into every moment, and there were sharper cuts in the scene-to-scene transitions. Readers were left to infer events between moments based on what may have come before. With so many characters to cover, we couldn't get to the granular level without each update taking forever to complete. Now, with TOX, a chapter may only last 2-3 in-game days, rather than 5-10.

[They posted 3 preview pictures as well]

Storytelling is top-notch as always.

I think the dev made a fundamental mistake in making exposure to the fog result in unsexy symptoms such as burning lungs and skin, difficulty breathing. Make it mess with your mind or libido or something that would naturally lead to sex. How can exposure be so serious that you need to shower immediately for relief but a quick rinse is enough to make you horny for sex?

These people have been living through harsh conditions and consuming questionable food for days while nursing injuries. While I can imagine you would want some comfort and care in this situation, would you really be wasting your precious and limited energy on intense sex marathons while trying to survive with so many unknown variables?

I think this is a good survival story setting for a thriller/drama but all this coughing and burning skin just isn't sexy enough for an AVN.

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. I always have a little hydrochloric in my pregame these days :)

Okay so I searched and this hasnt been discussed. And I want to make it clear I don't mean this as a bad thing at all but I feel that Kallie might be at least somewhat autistic. She has these little ticks and quirks that make me feel like she might be. Again i am not saying its a bad thing as I myself am autistic to a degree. Its nice to feel represented. I don't know if she is meant to be or not but to me she feels like she is.

My first impression of Kallie was very similar, but has mostly faded as more chapters have been written. Given a little more of her backstory, I feel like she was just overly sheltered as a child/teen and extremely... gullible? Naïve? Something like that moreso than autistic. But that's just my thoughts.

Honestly I can see that as well. I am still not too far into the game lol

She was controlled by her boyfriend too. And we don't know for how long... Those are very negative things for a young girl. We know he's an older guy in his mid thirties. That's not an red flag, but her behavior after she couldn't contact him was...

TOXICity 0.06.0 update 3 and release schedule

Outside of a little last-minute polish, this build is good to go, and we'll be uploading it shortly. And I know some of you (hopefully ALL of you) have been impatiently waiting for the next chapter. Fear not, you'll be rewarded as you'll finally get to meet girl #3. Also, there's at least one moment that's been a long time coming.
As I say this, I do offer a bit of warning/sage advice on how you may feel about the story as it progresses. Events occur, sometimes with little lead-up, or just enough that you'll have some context, but will start to make more sense further down the line. These scenes are a window into each person's timeline, and how they react may be fostered as much by your own actions as those that occurred before the game's Prologue.
One of the themes of TOXICity is that nothing happens in a vacuum, and there's usually fallout for what you do. So, getting involved with people in complicated relationships (or who have issues of their own) means navigating both their present and future states, while being aware of their pasts.
Here's the release schedule for 0.06.0 (all scheduled for 11:59 am EDT release):
Tier 3 - May 16, 2025
Tier 2 - May 18, 2025
Tier 1 - May 20, 2025
Public - May 21, 2025
Change Log 0.06.0

  • Added Chapter Six
  • Fixed typos and grammar errors
  • Fixed a tag in chapter 4 where Kallie may get credit for seeing the dead monster when she hasn't
  • Added Visibility option for the Quick Menu. For Android users, swipe up to go into the menu when turned on.
  • Fixed a typo in the Chapter 5 achievement
  • Added new music
Thanks for your interest and support,
-Kinderfeld

with how fast updates are, its impressive how good the story always is
besides the fact that the town was close to being abandoned, with hearing gunshots twice, its weird we have yet to meet anyone with a gun
with the new girl at the dorms, i wonder what the reveal will be in the next update
looking forward to where this story goes

We have yet to meet anyone with a gun because we haven't met anyone except the girl in the dormitory: people turned into "monsters", and these monster don't need guns, I guess.

I think we're going to meet very few people - women, because this is supposed to be an erotic story :sneaky: - in this weird X Zone.

We haven't met much of anyone, much less people with guns. We haven't even run into non-monster individuals or groups like our trio moving from one place to another or scavenging for provisions. Those that haven't turned into monsters already, are sequestered where they feel themselves safe. They may have guns, but since they are hiding, we can't see them.

Eventually, we will run into weaponry, whether just discovered by us or in the hands of others.

I was just wondering if there might be paramilitary groups in the future, equipped with hazmat suits to cope with the fog.
