That is weird, never had a problem with URM like that if is what you mean by universal WT mod. I use it in TOXICity and no issues or in any other game.broke my saves too this update, was using universal WT mod so "mod update" wasn't a problem, annoying

Ah I see, I stumbled upon that thread once but seems redundant with URM, just like the Universal Choice Descriptor. Just like UCD that mod probably is very outdated for the current renpy versions and more likely break saves.
tried UCD long time ago - didn't work for me for some reason and i didn't bother to figure out whyAh I see, I stumbled upon that thread once but seems redundant with URM, just like the Universal Choice Descriptor.
Yeah I know what you mean, kind of learned with practice and knowing (sometimes just gut feelingtried UCD long time ago - didn't work for me for some reason and i didn't bother to figure out why
until URM implements something similar - i'm sticking to more classic WTs, extra clicks on every choice to see what they do is annoying as fuck
this one works fine in most cases, but does require unpacked scripts
I triggered the scene, therefore I don't know what to tell you except that if you modded the game / uploaded a modded save, then it's the mod.Think there's a bug in 0.6, slept with Laura in chapter 5 and yet the dialog option to sleep with her in chapter 6 doesn't show up, MC just says he drank enough and leaves then comes back to find her passed out drunk, the "One more round" dialog option doesn't even show up idk what I did wrong and the walkthrough doesn't say anything about it
Edit: got all scenes except for that one
With the "one more round" there's no fucking, either. She passes out before.Think there's a bug in 0.6, slept with Laura in chapter 5 and yet the dialog option to sleep with her in chapter 6 doesn't show up, MC just says he drank enough and leaves then comes back to find her passed out drunk, the "One more round" dialog option doesn't even show up idk what I did wrong and the walkthrough doesn't say anything about it

I played each chapter when they came here and for me the saves always worked. Can happen that piling updates and then load the last saves some get broken because is more likely that until now the code changed. So I just tested my saves from the end and start of every chapter and for me they still work, just one in chapter 2 rolled back a bit, maybe some code change happened on that scene but still loaded. I guess you don't save often in different slots, try an older save but replaying just 2 chapters in your case is kind of fast, each chapter isn't that long.I haven't played since 0.2 (not sure which). Was there a break in save files? Do I have to start over? None of the save games are working.
Hehe I guess I'm a big fan of ILS Productions storytelling since Now&Then and then The Interim Domain also is amazing (played them first back to back until around version low 20ish of TID since it was what was done by then), so I was eager to play when they released TOXICity. Here since v0.01, more fun to see the game grow since inception.I only started playing this 2 updates before this one.
None of the saves are broken if you play the game the same way each time. Thus is you played with a Mod, you have to play with the same mod going forward or the saves probably aren't going to work. I tested the saves, no Mod, and had no issues.I haven't played since 0.2 (not sure which). Was there a break in save files? Do I have to start over? None of the save games are working.
Did you use a mod previously? The code is pretty straight forward. It checks if you had sex in chapter 5, and asks the question if you want to do it again in ch6. Only way it wouldn't skip that question is if the variable was set to "no".Think there's a bug in 0.6, slept with Laura in chapter 5 and yet the dialog option to sleep with her in chapter 6 doesn't show up, MC just says he drank enough and leaves then comes back to find her passed out drunk, the "One more round" dialog option doesn't even show up idk what I did wrong and the walkthrough doesn't say anything about it

And if it doesn't work when I've never played the game with a MOD? Even hitting shift doesn't advance if I start from scratch. I've had this problem with other games too. Makes no sense. I can see the persistent files in the appdata directory.None of the saves are broken if you play the game the same way each time. This is still called replaying the game from scratch. But if you still don't want to replay in the normal way by playing each render and dialogue of the first 2 chapters you can always set on options to skip unseen dialogue and use CTRL key to skip and just make the choices, then when is where you stopped uncheck unseen text so you don't skip later by mistake hehe.
I don't know what exactly you are saying. Are you saying you have never played with a mod, on any version. You saved the game from a previous version (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) with no mod, and tried to load it on 6 (with no mod), and it didn't load the save? As for hitting shift, you have to enable skip "Unseen Text" in the options for the shift skip to work. I don't know if it is on by default (I always enable it, so I don't know what it was like by default). And if it doesn't work when I've never played the game with a MOD? Even hitting shift doesn't advance if I start from scratch. I've had this problem with other games too. Makes no sense. I can see the persistent files in the appdata directory.

Ren'py version of 0.6 is 7.4.5.1648. So yes .. that tracks. Dev hasn't updated as there are lots of issues with updating the version of Ren'py mid development. I don't know what to say .. as I had no issues. but the error is not giving you a rollback error, so maybe there were changes since the first save you have. I am not sure. What part of 0.2 have you not seen? I played ch1 and ch2. And now I have downloaded ch6 and all my saves fail to load. I also have never ever used a mod with Toxicity (or any other Ren'py game). I get the rollback screen every 3 or 4 screens. If I rollback, it works for another 3 screens and there I get an error. Eventually it just crashes to desktop. Same traceback.txt every time.
I just started over from scratch (I came here to post this) and i get errors in the first chapter (before Laura leaves the first time). I have no idea how this isn't working. I even deleted the persistent file and it still the error above.Code:Full traceback: File "script.rpyc", line 383, in script File "renpy/ast.py", line 715, in execute renpy.exports.say(who, what, *args, **kwargs) File "renpy/exports.py", line 1417, in say who(what, *args, **kwargs) File "renpy/character.py", line 1219, in __call__ self.do_display(who, what, cb_args=self.cb_args, dtt=dtt, **display_args) File "renpy/character.py", line 871, in do_display **display_args) File "renpy/character.py", line 621, in display_say rv = renpy.ui.interact(mouse='say', type=type, roll_forward=roll_forward) File "renpy/ui.py", line 298, in interact rv = renpy.game.interface.interact(roll_forward=roll_forward, **kwargs) File "renpy/display/core.py", line 3213, in interact repeat, rv = self.interact_core(preloads=preloads, trans_pause=trans_pause, pause=pause, pause_start=pause_start, **kwargs) File "renpy/display/core.py", line 3704, in interact_core if renpy.display.draw.update(force=self.display_reset): TypeError: 'bool' object is not callable Windows-10-10.0.26100 Ren'Py 7.4.5.1648
One other weird thing. I'm running Win11, win10. Why is the ren'py version 4 years old?
