All of them being immune is a bit much, what are the chances?

I believe it's simply because they didn't inhale much of the fog, especially the concentrated fog, and even if they were hit, they always wear protection and wash whenever they can.
They are affected, but they mitigate the damage.

The boy transformed so quickly because he inhaled the concentrated fog.
He had no protection; the creature was pressing him to the ground; he couldn't hold his breath and inhaled a lot of concentrated fog.

I think the boy scene was especially to show that.

I am a bit surprised he doesn't immediately explain the Shelley situation to everyone considering it could put her or everyone at risk at anytime.

Yeah, he should have clearly told it the others after she just ran off.
Especially as they plan to move out, her privacy is at that point just not important compared to the potential risk for her or the others.

I don't think they are immune, long exposition to the fog is what I believe it is causing this, that and concentrated fog the burned ones have, which probably speedruns the transformation process.

I also don't think we are immune as both John and Laura who have been exposed the most have been described getting worse everytime they got further exposed, I don't think they are at risk right now but perhaps later on things could change.

Ikr. I would honestly try to convince her to tell the others.
Maybe we'll get an option later to do that behind her back but lose trust points or choose to keep it to ourselves but she'll go on a mental break and put everyone in danger.

Honestly, the only thing missing from this game is having to make difficult decisions that all have serious repercussions.

I did like how the MC had a brief temper when Shelly went MIA and when Laura was searching for them despite being told to stay. Valid crashout. Laura and Shelly are a liability. Kallie being the most timid but is actually the most stable one among the 3 women.

A little detail i noticed in Macy's hideout was the duration of the crisis. Macy counted 20 days being stuck in the classroom but Laura mentioned that it's only been 18 days. Some supernatural time manipulation fuckery going on?

What mod? the multimod from first page? it shows 0.7 so its outdated yeah, when you mod a game here you always need to wait for that mod to update as well.

I'm really just getting started on this but in the age of the internet, people have forgotten about the power of radio. In my emergency kit I've got a long range, hand held CB and a receiver that can pick up AM/FM/CB and Ham frequencies - in this situation I'd be looking hard for an AM radio (they can pick up signals from hundreds of miles away).

while you're not wrong, the places they've been/are at unlikely to have something like that these days... office or college campus. Back when I was a student sure. Nowadays not so much. Maybe cars with older radios could work. And they can't exactly go around and explore either on account of all the toxic smog. Shit situation all in all. MC didn't have prep time either like in N&T.

Yep, just saying that would be near the top of my things to look for - that and try anything that does need a signal (television, phones etc) on the roof of one of the taller buildings somewhere above the fog. I'm sure they can find a bunch of extension chords in an office building if they want to move the TV.

Yeah. Plus the toxic fog does something to the cars so they won't start. Probably corroding the wires and other things internally, so even old car stereos probably wouldn't work. They'd have to find a radio capable of picking up those bandwidths somewhere inside that hasn't been exposed. Which wouldn't be very common these days.

Their best bet would be to try and find an abandoned police station, since not only could they potentially arm themselves, it'd probably have radios like that capable of not only receiving but transmitting as well.

as for the TV, that's all digital now (again), so doesn't matter if they are sitting on the roof or not... if the signal is shit inside for whatever reason it will be the same outside. Phone might be a better idea, that's wireless so might get better reception.

That would be good, but even just getting information would be valuable. If it's a quarantine zone, they probably won't be let out anyway, unless they can sneak past checkpoints - so transmitting might not do any good.

Most TVs still have the ability to pick up a signal, even if they normally get it through cable. If it's completely digital and they're getting any signal at all it means there's hope for the phones.

they may have analog ports, but they don't have built-in antennas... so you'd need that too.

Maybe, but they're getting a signal from something. If it's digital it means there is hope for the phones and/or maybe they should revisit the phone store and look for some kind of signal booster. If it's analog then it has some kind of built in antennae. (Sorry, probably totally overthinking this.)

If the college campus they're on is large enough the security office there might have similar radio gear as well. Know I've seen campus security carrying around radios like that in the past, though it's been a fair few years since I was on a campus.
