The part where you have to extract information from the captains brain isnt working i got her intelligance down to negative 1 one but it still isnt working at all.

Is it bugged?
The extract information machine has anyway a display where it says exactly how much the captive's intelligence/willpower should be before working. Just keep brainwashing until each string on the display becomes green

You also need to set which kind of information you want to extract. You click on the icon and there are choices like "map chart", "information", etc... And you select the appropriate one. It must be some work in progress feature

Unable to do oral training or anything else? Did you check if you have resources?

"Hi! That's one of the reasons why I usually try not to put even approximate dates The plan was to release a preview of the .04 version last month, but alas it has come out only now

So the main new thing is a body modification machine.

Oh yes! Now you can almost completely modify your samples on the station. In the preview version, you can get the machine almost immediately by buying a map of the new MG5 sector from Mr. Box at the black market and walking around the blank level of the research station, there you can also get the resources needed for the machine in barrels near the head of the research department, in whose mind the machine blueprints are stored, well then I think you can guess how to get them out of there yourself

The machine allows you to modify the 5 basic parameters of body structure - the amount of sample's fat, its distribution, its volume in the waist, muscularity and masculinity of the body. There is also a possibility for local modification of boobs and butt, with the possibility of fine-tweaking (this feature is still in the process of adjustment, so some sliders may give unexpected results)

Also added a few more visual description skills, which will soon be needed for tasks like "preparing a sample with the required skills for the customer" "

So, alpha 04 is basically just a few new (?) sliders for the body mod machine, and an added inconvenience to get said machine/its materials....And it took this long?

Am i reading this wrong?

Yes, because its a preview so there might be more to it than being show at this time.
Also, do not just go and assume that every game Dev out there does this stuff full time and does not have a life outside of this. A lot of people are going through hardships right now and they have better things to do then making something that you can jerk off to.
And even if the Dev does not have to deal with other stuff, he/ she might just be a slow worker (which gets really obvious once you take a look at the time between each update).
Just dont forget, the Dev does not owe anything to someone who is not willing to support (as in funding) his/ her work. So please, sit back down and wait quietly for the finished game or just move on to another game.

Ah, fair. Lets see hwere it goes from here on...In the next month or two? -_-
The way the guy elaborates it doesnt make it very clear on what exactly's been up, but point taken either way.

So is everyone else, dude. What makes this one any diffrent for everyone else that you dont have trust for?
You wanna give as much benefit of the doubt here, then its only fair to have just as much skepticism, especially if were looking at how general sentiments surrounding these "types of endeavors" been going everywhere else. The existence of this site alone should give you an idea...

Speaking of;

Oh yeah. Wonder why that is...
And then some still ask themselves why the negative bias is at an all time high when it comes to these things. But hey, at least we dont owe him/her anything as well, eh? Thank fuck.

Sigh. Here goes nothing. Till the next "update" or so

I'm talking as someone who spent some months supporting this game in the past. This site is filled with abandoned project and many of them had patreon, subscribestar, whatever and the money just ended up wasted on unfinished products. This creates an aura of mistrust, and it's logical that people get impatient easily at this point. Either many of these creators are just scammers, or are being irresponsable and don't know how to handle money and their project. If creators ask for money, they have the responsability of being clear about their situation and the expectations people should have about their project, set a "expect an update around every month/2 moths/half a year" and the like. I can understand a "I had a terrible accident in my life, please don't expect much until next year". But if that happens, get ready to lose subsrcibers in the meantime, and try to get your life back together so that you can actually provide something for the next year. And if someone thinks their personal life doesn't allow them to treat working on a porn game paid by patreon as a work of some sorts, they shouldn't ask for money at all.

Ah, fair. Lets see hwere it goes from here on...In the next month or two? -_-

There were lots of updates and roadmaps between the last update and this one. Maybe it could be that his is just a preview that will be followed by a massive update. But I'm sure how much that's the case.

I've been following this project since it started and your comment made me consider something I hadn't previously regarding this dev.. Part of the reason I was so eager to support his project was because of the roadmap he had, which sadly hasn't been updated since somewhere between 0.2 and 0.3.

I believe that he started out with good intentions, and until I see something which is oozing mistrust, I'll continue giving him the benefit of the doubt. Regardless, something's been going on lately that seems to be distracting him or lowering his overall productivity/responsibility to his project, and even if he has good intentions, perhaps his level of commitment just doesn't justify the support any longer.

I believe that he started out with good intentions,...
And just like everything else, it too got unnecessarily overcomplicated for its own sake. Promises of ambitions that could even be too much for some of the more competent/organized dev teams to feasibly handle, let alone a single person or a handful of "part-timers" whom; just like everyone else, had other shit to mind about and take care of as well.

Really wish these things didnt end up like this. I really do, but here we are. Shit came to a point where distrust is a norm, and its not even worth the effort to be bothered by it as if its just "business as usual" to see these things fall to bits or left to rot with the devs nowhere to be found, among other things.

Details, details. Imma just leave it here before this turns into another fuckin tard-storm. Until next time the dude/dudette finally decides to get back in the mood, i guess

Honestly, I think everyone is overreacting. These things are hobbies for mast at the end of the day. I hope we get more content, and I think we will. This happens to a lot of these games where people on here start catastrophising if a dev's self-imposed deadline gets missed. At best it doesn't get us the content faster and at worst it makes the dev give up.

Crowdfunding tends to cause overreactions. If hobbyists all did their projects on their own dime and then released them when ready, we wouldn't be seeing such widespread anger and distrust. But everyone knows that most people aren't honest enough to pay for a final product anyway, so here we are.

That said, I still agree this dev in particular doesn't deserve such distrust. He's missed some deadlines, but still communicates frequently.

The mindset that paying for development (planning, writing, coding, etc.) is the same as buying a product is still prevalent and causes the issues, I think.

Crowdfunding is nothing but throwing money at something and hoping things work out. It's not an investment (no ROI) and there's no guarantee of a final product - just goodwill. Some platforms do blur the lines between what's crowdfunding and what's a subscription, but that's beside the point (although it could be a part of the problem).

The bad blood's been there ever since Kickstarter scams started coming out on day 2 of the platform's existence. It's valid to feel betrayed, but people should be wiser about this sort of thing by now.

I do agree that the developer seems to have overreached with this one. The game hasn't progressed much beyond the initial proof of concept, and we're only left to guess as to why. They are still working on it, so that's something, even if the result is just an annual novelty update.

I'm not convinced this is such a problem as I used to think in the past. Looking around Patreons I've found easily project reaching 500 or 1k per month, and it's not uncommon to get above that. There was this Rack 2 (perhaps the biggest case of abandoned patreon project that caused outrage) that was collecting a whopping 20k for some time. Summertime Saga also reaches that amount, and it's not even a paid game (the only thing is that non-subscribers have to wait 24 hours, it's a moot point). The amount of piracy, while incalculable, I don't think is seriously hurting the business. Not to mention that some pirates are those who if can't pirate something, they give up and don't even buy it.
