By copy-pasting the script it produces barely readable garbage that only fuels the stigma against the word MTL an MTL tool is supposed to help the translators not replace them
That is fair, though considering the simple fact that it is about porn and that this is a
extremely short supply of quality VS quantity
for most it is a better deal especialy if you are stuck kanji on the things you like.
Yeah, and a brain damage received from deciphering the MTL'd porn poetry is just a pleasant addition.
Again, porn! This is like buying the playboy magazine for the articles!
Add that to reading kanji as the alternattive and it is not that bad.

Hey man if you can read the MTL version and enjoy it feel free lord knows I've done it in the past with WNs, however, I think most people actually want a readable version where they can read without having to decipher the meaning behind every third line they read, saying it's porn doesn't really matter Brazzers didn't get to be one the biggest sites by quantity but by making quality videos with professional cameramen and taking care of their porn stars, the same thing applies here VNs are games first thing and a lot of devs work really hard to make quality work this company is one of them and personally I think it's an insult to them making a half-assed copy past MTL.
Finally if you really just want to jerk off there are plenty of sites that upload the pics of these games since to use your words it's just porn.
Yes, people would prefer it, thing is i doubt Brazzers did a 10 minute video a year.
There are 3 thing of matter is VN in general
1. Plot
2. Visuals-art
3. Sounds:voice, music ect.
You have 2/3 considering the variety that exists, with a MTL it only adds rather than subtracts.
Finaly the overall preference for individual VN goes like this
VN with a good translation > VN with a MTL > VN raw > VN cg images.
It is more of a question if you prefer the raw or a MTL. Not really a choice...

Are seriously saying you can understand a VNs plot using a RAW MTL??
Look dude you're arguing quantity and I'm arguing quality if you like RAW MTLs that's fine plenty of people do but plenty of other people hate them with a passion.
And like I already said it brings the thought of (MTL=Bad translation) to anybody who casually looks for translations.
And for your something VS Nothing line, the more support translators get the faster/better they can do this.
Oh and this is off-topic (I just thought you might want to know) you keep using "a" article for MTL when you're supposed to use "an" the usage is based on the sound, not the letter here is "M" with a sound of "am" so you would use an MTL again I don't mean this in a snobby way I just thought you might like to know the proper usage here for more

People who want plot will go for the real translations.
People who want porn will go for whatever they can find.
Those who are willing to go through the trouble of installing a VN they learn the difference between MTL and human translation.
Considering we are talking about porn there are bound to be more who just "skip."

Yeah, I really don't understand your viewpoint if you just want porn then why even bother looking for translation it's not like the translation is gonna change the art or the voice acting or do you really want to read a line like "Ah, Ah, Please Onii-Chan shoot your hot stuff into my penis" I shit you not this is an actual line from an MTL with it being the same in both Sugoi and deepL.
