Just tested and it seemed to be fine. Not sure why you aren't getting text. Space bar hides the UI box, but I don't think it would be that simple. If you can provide exact steps to replicate from opening the game, that would be helpful to pin down why this happens.

Windows 10.
1.Download the rar archive from workupload
2.Winrar extract
3.Open game.exe
4.Click recollection
5.Click top right card (no text) or click bottom left card (no text)
Top left card(first one) working btw.
Tried local emulator, tried delete save and new game, all the same.
When i press space bar i got this. Without space bar, just image.

Ok I can confirm it's not just you. I'm going to try to find the scripts for the recollection page. After that I'll post a new download. I might also clean up some things I forgot to remove from the TL. I have finals coming up so I can't guarantee anything fast, but I'll look into this.

Update: so far I fixed the bottom left image being misaligned in the recollection menu, but I still cant find why the text box gets so messed up. Also this issue is present in the untranslated original version of the game, so it's not my fault.
