Ah, I completely forgot about this...

The call-out for community help dropped in just as I was going back to work after my Winter PTO, then the 1st week was hell as per usual, and then I completely forgot about it from the usual "back to work" head-aches and other RL things. >.>"

I'm surprised no one else was interested in helping though... Guess the interest in the game besides "Gimme NAO" wasn't that high.

Nah, ain't blaming anyone. I'm sorry I sounded bitter. Just kinda sad, especially since it's so easy to make MTLs nowadays and was hoping for some support from the community. Not sure why I'm doing this anymore honestly.

Also, again sorry, but I'm not having the best day/week. I'll try to get this out sooner than later since it's already done and folks are waiting, but I'm not in the right mind to do so now. Probably shouldn't have even announced anything yet.

you need to take a long break, go outside and touch grass, relax yourself, go read some manga or watch anime...then when you feel refreshed, get back to working on the game development

Damn, that really took about 2+ hours of writing to create the changelog/ReadMe, describing everything I did, and also uploading the files to M*** and ULMF.

Anyway, thanks for waiting. I had a hell of a month (or rather, the last few months). Hopefully life gets better after this. But well, it's done. Happy Valentine's Day. Hope y'all had a great date that wasn't your hand. Or if it was, good for you too. We all need to love and to be loved.

I came across a translation of this game on another site and I remembered that I had seen its translation on the Saikey site. But, like many of their other translations, I had only seen them on their site. So the question is: do these translations even exist?

In this thread, people wrote about existence of their translation, but, it seems, they themselves didn't see this translation. Saikey themselves didn't post here about it, although they had previously announced the appearance of translations. Has anyone even seen this translation?

Their translations are rarely posted on this site, and I have not seen them in other places. Their translations are not pirated, they themselves do not even notify about them here. I don't want to say that this is some kind of scam, it's just very strange to me to see how they do not even advertise themselves and no one even leaks their old translations.

to be honest, the one thing i dont like is people changing the name of the character...the female mc is Hiyori, not Helen, who the hell is Helen? i hate it when people do translations, they change the name of characters and plus the translations people done here are considered as fan translation, not Saikey related is what i believe....

When it comes to this game in particular
... well i believe that the situation is the following.
there are 3 versions
1) the old MTL version
2) the one Fan TL by emerald_gladiator that is recently popping out in the various sites
3) the saikey one that is paywalled and nobody has ever leaked it yet.

As for your concerns about saikey ... what is there to wonder about? Games that they TL they put their own logo on the title screen just to let you know that they done the TL and they "own" it. they have their own patreon

As for why the leaks of saikey "works" with different set of "rules" in contrast to someone else (one example is NTRMan) I guess is because the latter doesn't care as much while the former takes every precautions possible to defend the stuff they "own"

Yeah, I had started this translation over a year ago or something, and when I heard about Saikey nearly completing his/theirs, I was going to stop mine. Forgot who, but someone just told me to complete this one as well, so I did.

As for Saikey, he/they used to post his/their translations here, but yeah, nowadays it's rare to see them post. Saikey has his own team of translators (which is why I say 'their' in plural a bunch), so I don't doubt it's authentic (as in not MTL), but it's also fan-translated, not official, since I doubt they have the devs' permission to translate or localize. Then again, I've only heard of Saikey's translation and never actually seen it posted anywhere, so no idea if it actually exists.

All the same, I respect Saikey and wish him/them the best. I wouldn't have finished this translation out of respect to him (since he completed his first) if not otherwise convinced to do so.

Fair. Your opinions are your own. However, if you hate when translators or localizers change the names of things, you may want to forego games like Pokemon, where nearly ALL of the thousands of Pokemon names are changed from the original Japanese to names that are more reflective of the culture in which they're being played, region-wise. It's not an uncommon occurrence in many localized J-games/anime brought to the West, and while I don't do this to all of my translations, it's also something I do fairly frequently, and I'm also not going to stop either.

Please, feel free to NOT use my translation. Nobody is forcing you. Better yet, if you're so upset about it, instead of complaining, you can translate the game yourself. Took me literal hundreds of hours, as it does for all my other fan-translations, since they're not MTL, but you do you.

Lastly, since many of the users here are English-speaking, or at least request English translations (god knows why, since many users can't even communicate fluently or coherently here), I assume they're from a Western country. It's not always the case, but since I myself am from a Western country, I translate games with the perception they'll be read and played by that demographic too; therefore I cater to that culture in regards to slang, references, syntax, and so on. I DID take pretty excessive liberties with this translation (for my standards), and I think some users whom I actually respect didn't approve much, so I'll take that into consideration for the future. However, I'm also nobody's b!tch. You want a translation, you can beg the devs for one, you can pay me like Saikey and other fan translators, you can wait for someone else to translate or MTL one, or you can translate yourself. Otherwise, this translation is mine. If the community REALLY doesn't like it, I'm more than happy to remove it or just stop translating altogether. God knows I've translated enough.

Ah thanks for the information. So it's true Saikey indeed made a translation. If that's the case, I might reach out to him and ask him if he'd like me to remove mine. I worked on hard this one, but I'd rather not step on his toes either since he finished his first, even if it's behind a paywall/patreon.

I think that's one thing I DON'T like about Saikey, which is that, while I'm fine with him putting up paywalls and asking for money for translating, it does start to seem like he/his team are starting to become more possessive with the games they translate, to the point where it almost seems like they act like they own the games themselves, rather than an unauthorized translation (and if they're indeed given permission to translate by the devs, then my mistake). Saikey wasn't like this a few years ago, and he's not a bad person, so it's a bit disheartening.

I haven't actually seen my fan-translation popping up on most of the "sharing sites" (no need to tell me which ones), but I suppose that makes sense. I'm honestly dreading my translation being posted and shared on THIS site because I'm anticipating a lot of complaining, but I guess that's my fault. Used to it anyway.

go to dl site rightclick and chose translate then choos laungage and pick japanese from list and read the update info on its page if you ever wonder about if the game is the latest or if it adds stuff anyway all thier updates ad content so in 1.03 there is new stuff
