DeepL is a neural machine translation service from germany, that offers a better translation quality than traditional MTLs using Google-Translate "most of the time".

My format is basically feeding the parts that need translating to DeepL, if the result is broken, feeding them to DeepL again, if the result is still broken, feeding them to Google-Translate, and if after all that the result still remains obviously broken, translating them manually.

So more accurately "a 80% DeepL, 15% Google, and 5% Manual Frankenstein monster translation thing", but that's too long so I just call it "DMTL".

The point of it is to be able to make a "somewhat" coherent translation in a much smaller time frame than a proper translation, but without the (current) issues of fully automated translations.
(I finished over 100 DMTLs already.)

Here's a slightly edited DeepL/Google hybrid MTL for the version shared here including scripts/plugins.

Please specifically use the new game version from jb281472's post, or you will run into issues.
For this game to extract and start properly you need to switch your system locale to Japanese(Japan) or use another locale method.
If you are on windows 10 and it didn't seem to work (files have gibberish names instead of Japanese) please read this Locale tutorial.

Known issues:
Picture based text not translated.
There's 1192 pictures with text in them. (Mostly those speech bubbles.)
There is no way in hell I'm going to manually draw text on all those.

2.0 Update to latest game version, the addition of missing text based translations and some general bugfixes.

If you experience a crash, game-breaking bug or seriously broken text please post me a screenshot and a short description when it happened. Providing a save just before the problem occurs would drastically increase the speed of the fixing process.

failed to load img/pictures error at the very start of the game. already downloaded the version as u mentioned and patched your version. i also used Locale Emu to run the game under Japanese with Admin rights.

You don't just need to run the game with Japanese(Japan) system locale, you also need to extract it that way. I can only guess that one of your Japanese file names was turned into gibberish during extraction.
A few extractors have special options to extract stuff with different locales/unicodes, but I recommend actually changing your entire system locale before re-downloading the game.
