^ What fish spawn is pure RNG, catching it is a mix of RNG and the good lure.

Bit of luck and timing it right.

Doesn't seem to make much difference... I'm using the most expensive lures and the fish seem to treat it with the same level of interest as a low level lure.
The 5 lbs seaperch is damn near impossible to find.

each fish or group of them, like different lures. Good like keeping track of that, unless someone who cares about it will list it for you. But it's really not worth it, unless you want big pee pee points on the internet. As the money and time you'll invest it that will be minuscule compare to the money you'll get by treasure hunting or reach the passive income later in the game.

I'm on the same boat. Using the Heavy Natural Plug works the best for me to attract hammerhead sharks, but even then the game simple doesn't spawn a hammerhead heavy enough to fulfil this task.

If you are worried about 100%, then so far it doesn't count on the phone. But if it's more "put my mind at ease" then you are in for a long ride
