I think Alpine Eagle is like me getting tired of the puzzles, reward is too lame, who needs talismans any more.

Agree. The formerly engaging narrative of ToN has pretty much come to a standstill and chapters now consist pretty much of three sex scenes, two or three temple puzzles, a Kama Sutra page, some brief filler to join up the sex scenes and a short comical appearance by Evie at the end of the chapter. The MC has changed from a likeable guy, with heroic potential, looking for payback for his dead father, into a perverted brat who roughly fucks women, singly and in groups, who can't resist his advances because they're under the influence of a powerful aphrodisiac drug. Originally most of the sex was initiated by the girls and women themselves, whom the MC treated respectfully and kindly, consent never being in question, while these days his behaviour is borderline coercive verging on the rapey.
If this recipe can be sustained until the middle of next year, for another 20+ chapters, I will be surprised. I've only stuck with the game this long because I'm interested in Madalyn's and Sofia's stories. As much as I am drawn to these female characters I doubt that even they will be able to keep me interested enough to keep playing the game if the MC remains such an asshole and the story-driven nature of ToN doesn't reassert itself.
But then, unlike many hereabouts, my cock plays second fiddle to my brain!

Sometimes titles make it obvious but sometimes they don't, and remembering the last played version of the game is difficult too

No it is not. Look at the version number you have saved on your computer and compare it with the version number available now.

Not sure about this last update of TON, the game play and content felt very different from previous updates. Maybe the developers didn't have as much time, maybe they are working on a different game or maybe they are losing interest in the story. I don't know, but it just didn't feel the same.
The game play was a bit repetitive and it wasn't exactly clear what you had to do (e.g. stepping platforms or moving Tasha and Clare).
The sex scenes were very different as well. It is nice to have them a bit longer, but the dialogue and content felt more like someone had spent too much time on Pornhub looking for ideas than actually thinking about the storyline.
Maybe its just me, but I'm sure I can't be the only one that was a bit disappointed.

I fixed this by downloading the whole game again. This is probably because we downloaded a compressed file. tho I could not remember downloading a compressed file. agian, maybe the game we downloaded lacked an update, and after we downloaded the latest patch, we might have skipped an update at the middle. who knows ^^
