How do I fix this? First time I encounter it in this game. I restarted the game itself and retried many times but can't seem to move forward. What should I do?

Will my saves still work if I install the full game again?

Yes. The reason you encountering an error usualy is when you skipped some updates. So, the most right thing to do, is just replace everything with latest full version of the game. Your saves is stored in different folder. Just overwrite your game folder with the new version and you're good to go.

Go to Squallmart. Buy an Antacid Tablet, give it to the Goose/Swan/Duck.
