The only way is to eat Terran Treat or other treats until you lose the Half-Taur flag.
You can set a custom character portrait by entering options menu.

The damn javascript version crashes if you attempt to create a new character (and imported saves don't work, so you can't really play the game at all)

Does anyone have the cheats? I only need one and clowncar doesn't seem to work in the new version?
Is it possible to download the new javascript version now or is that no longer an option? I still prefer to play a game on my hard drive without relying on a server to host the game.

Half-gryvain characters can be either female or herm on character creation. Get Pussybloom from Lerris on Tavros if you want to grow a vagina later.

I would like to add that Kui-Tan is also an option for the character creation screen since can be only Male or hermaphrodite.
Consider looking through either one of these links if you're interested in looking for ways to add your missing other half in case you decided to not pick the two starting races.

I think that some events progress whether or not you have checked their messages. On the bottom left of the game, there should be a small square with pencil looking icon, that is where you can look at all of the messages you've been sent. The icon will be green for any unread messages.
