Hopefully, a little bit of proofreading helps to offset the fact that we are all getting this amazing story for free.

When Ayaka is talking to Magnus: "...and as a loyal suspect of the Empire..." Unless this was a Freudian slip, she probably meant to say 'subject'.

Tomas talking to Magnus while seated: "...the settlements are to spread out..." Probably intended to put 'too'.
Tomas talking to Magnus while seated: "...or are they depleted? If it is the latter?" Maybe I'm confused, but wouldn't it be far worse if the stones gained energy over time than if they were depleted?

Tomas talking to Ayaka with Yuu checking for wounds: "...food when anyone isn't looking." Possibly 'no one is looking.'
Tomas talking to Ayaka with Yuu checking for wounds: "...that no one doesn't notice a half a cow being missing..." How about '...that half a cow goes missing with no one noticing...'?

This VN is sure full of intriguing plot twists. Talothral, you are truly creative.

So you decided to a bitch about spelling errors, grammar errors and what not of a person who has stated that English is his third language and has suffered a head trauma thanks to a drunk driver that does affect linguistics and short-term memory among other things? Okay, gotcha.

Hello all!

Monday... and final scene to render. Although due the amount of renders it will take a couple of days. But I'm happy with the progress overall, back to the original rhythm about.

And as far as writing goes, it's where it should be at this stage. So all is good on that front.

So I ran out of stuff I can show for various reasons, so something that was in the back of my mind. That and it helps to deal with annoyances. Anyway. It did server couple of purposes. Testing certain render settings, the environment, and one of the effects. Anyway, back to rendering for a bit then short break.

Sounds like bitching.
i'm amazed you are hearing sounds from reading text on a screen.
but what is and isn't bitching is subjective.

anyway yes there are typo's and grammar mistakes, cxx isn't wrong in that regard ,maybe he could've been said more friendly instead off a jokingly fashion, but i doubt he acutally hates Talo's work, why would he be active in the thread.

so stop tone policing like a social justice warrior.

Names can't be copyrighted, and Guenwyhar isn't trademarked. Usage as a name would be fine. Only point where it could lead into trouble is when you use it with a drow ranger that is speficially named, dualwields scimitars, has a panther that is summoned via a statue and lives on the Abeir-Toril.

Error corrections doesn't bother me. It's the reminders/remarks of that I make errors, those get over time irritating as it reminds me of things that I a lost when I got hit. Doesn't help that I haven't slept well in last week due the the issue from it. Regardless, irrelevant now.

that's up to Forgotten Realms/D&D. Disney protects usage Twi'Leks and other Star Wars thingies. Warner (whatever is its full name) protects Superman, Supergirl and Superwoman and rest and even fights/fought on Bat/Battish logos even if those predate Batman by a "few" years/deades.

I'm surprised they didn't get copyrights extended again to a couple centuries when it came time for them to give up the mouse.

Yes and no. Again you can't copyright names (nor ideas or concepts despite what they want people to believe), however "Man of Steel", "Caped Crusader", and "Superman", and both Superman logo/symbol and Batman's logo/symbol are trademarked. Hypothetically, you could create something that doesn't look remotely like the iconic look and call the hero a Superman. Copyright wise it would be fine. Trademark wise? Ehhh...

Same with Disney and Star Wars. A lot of the names are trademarked (such as Obi-wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker etc), so they will come after you because of that. Not certain has the other species' names been trademarked but Twi'lek isn't in the US at least, so there is nothing preventing creating alien species called Twi'lek as long as they don't look like the Star Wars one copyright wise that is. Again, is it a smart thing to do? Depends how much money you have to burn. But personally, I wouldn't bother since it would be a hassle to deal with it.

So the whole copyright in these cases is more about the visuals of the characters/species and/or combination of the names to them. Trademarks? Yeah, they have to protect them or they lose them.

So regarding the whole Guenwyhar thing, as long as it isn't that specific combination, it is fine copyright wise. Is it smart? The fact that you can do something doesn't mean it is a smart thing to do. There is still certain professional courtesy towards the original authors to consider. That and very few people have the money to fight it in the courts. It doesn't warm you that much if you go bankrupt over it despite being "right".
