Artistic copyright and trademark laws are weird. Using a couple of examples just to see if I'm getting the general idea, and not trying to get into specific minutia.
So, if you draw a tw'lick and call the species tailwalkers you could be in violation? But if you draw a possum and call the species Tw'licks you may not be?

Depends on how close the drawing is of the visual representation of a twi'lek. If they are basically humans painted green/blue/red with two head tentacles (lekku)? That might get a cease and desist letter from the lawyer checking it. Now, if you put them on, let's say someone who looks like a Qivian (face wise)? That's fine as long as the head tentacles aren't called lekku.
But possum and calling the twi'lek is fine in most western countries. Someone may get anal about it, unless it is trademarked there is little they can do about it, but it isn't copyright breach as names can't be copyrighted. Now the mispelling you used would be fine as long as the visuals aren't identical
But it is one of those things with names. Is it worth the hassle? There are more nuances to it, and some local law variants with things (which should be checked by a lawyer who knows the local laws). And it doesn't necesarily show originality. Except your version of the name you used, it's just inspired at best

I actually slept longer than 20 minutes so I have a much thicker skin than yesterday, and overall better mood. =P Although I'm not entirely sure about the 20 minutes though as is, might have been 10... Eh details.

there was a lawsuit in my country where apple tried to du some foodstuff producers for calling one product simply apple (it was even mail ch more then a indication of the flavour). I mean, that's just general bs regarding to copyright, trademark and patent laws. Those laws are in serious need of expert reforms, that aren't influenced by the major right owners, in pretty much every country. Currently they stiffle innovation and competition and give rights owners way more rights than they were intended originally do.
Why is it that the codex now lists all the female main characters as single - when in previous updates they were already listed as lovers?
The codex is dynamic, from the main menu it is in its default state. If you load the save it reflects the status of that save, thus those who are in relationship turn to lovers.

Hello all!
So, update 26 is mostly done, it's tested and proofread and I have some coding, merging some changes and auxiliary renders to do, namely bits and pieces for the codex that I apparently forgot last time and some new additions. Although the entries were made for most of them. Thus it's on schedule, more or less. Should be able to do the builds tomorrow, assuming nothing breaks.
And as usual, I'll write the weekend and then start rendering 0.27.0 on Monday. So... that's about it for the progress.
Then we'll see once again one of the motivational renders, of sorts. Wanted to know how the environment worked. It good. And then ages ago, there was a comment about the sword, which is fair question why use one when you have magic? Answer is simple it depends on what is happening. Take this image for example. There is three different kind of opponents, two ghouls (the one that is flying from the fire and one running), spectral undead that is manipulating the armour and... the big tentacle thing in the background. The ghouls are easy, just need some fire and done. The spectral one is more complex thing. They can be dealt with similarly to the Banshee's Tomas fought, but that isn't the problem. The problem is the big guy in the background.
Assuming it is unknown enemy it would be wise to reserve the magic you have and deal with the spectral foe with enchanted weapon. Or spell blade in this case that is harmful to them. Then you can try to fight the unknown enemy. And yes, I have a lot of strange things in my library that are just waiting the right time to be used...
Anyway, have a great weekend you all!
P.S. Have one of the renders from the codex as a small bonus... still dislike the amount of fur though. And while I remember, there is slight name change from what it is in 0.25.0, nothing drastic. Just something else fitted better in the end.

Apart from my previous post I have no real gripe with this game love it infact storys good.
But then its by the Dev of Sorcerer so ofcourse its good.
I just wish the MC would participate more in the sex scenes.
Most of the time he lays there like a stuffed fish at least at the start.
But it's the lack of interaction by that I mean he says nothing, nada, nought, zero, zip, diddly squat.
All the talking comes from the girl think in 5 sex scenes I only once read him say he was cumming .
But to be honest I might of just imagined he did.
I mean not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
But we don't even get a grunt when he cumes.
If I'm remembering right He's always as quite as a church mouse.
Even I have grunted when cumming before now and i'm not exactly that vocal during sex.
Infact in almost every porno I have seen the men normally finish with a grunt.
In most of the games I have played too it's normally some form of grunt.
I know you do the Inlay picture to show he's cumming and thats great don't lose that.
But honestly it's not the same I miss reading a grunt at the end.
But thats just my own opnion.
