us drawing map with the infos we have isn't the same as having the map the devs knows of. And btw he jhust released an update let him rest for a bit before asking for moreIgnore these guys who could easily draw maps themselves and give us more story pls.
I'm not pestering him for something he's trying not to do at least.let him rest for a bit before asking for more
that'd be basically impossible on star wars/trek.Just take a galaxy map, and put things in random locations.
Not really. Not at the start, anyway. All map making starts from somewhere. Star Trek? Earth, you pin that on map, put the nearest real star systems you want, then basically throw darts at the map and where ever the dart lands is system for X species. Star Wars is basically the same. Coruscant is hub of the Republic/Empire, it is a core word (kinda literally since it was close the galactic core) that's your starting point. Then you just do the same. Unless you have specified the distances, then it is slightly more annoying, but not really a problem.that'd be basically impossible on star wars/trek.
This line just reminded me of a writing advice i saw going around. How you should never provide numbers for measurements etc... for your readers unless it's absolutely correct, otherwise there's going to be someone who will go any length possible to prove that you were wrong with math.Unless you have specified the distances, then it is slightly more annoying, but not really a problem.
all from movies, animations, tv shows, comicbooks, books, etc added into same pool so messy. Not really. Not at the start, anyway. All map making starts from somewhere. Star Trek? Star Trek is a mess with things, it contradicts itself at times between episodes, but that's partially because it was "Baddie of the week" style show originally, so continuity wasn't a big deal. Even with TNG, it was mostly the same. DS9 and Voyager had an overarching plot during the series, but still a complete mess because there was little to no control of canon still at that point. Now there is, but... yeah... There is a reason why there is a parody song by Voltaire called "U.S.S. Make Shit Up"... It's spot on when it comes to Star Trek.all from movies, animations, tv shows, comicbooks, books, etc added into same pool so messy.
40K universe has actually made their calendar in a way, that if there's potential for canon conflict or wrong information it shows in it. First number in the dating calendar/dating system is so called check number 0-9, depending on how reliable this information is when it reaches Terra. Since warp travel can cause multiple things to be simultaneously true or even posit you to your destination even before you actually started the warp jump, in rare cases. Basically any class after 4 means the canon truth of events is left in question.Star Trek is a mess with things, it contradicts itself at times between episodes, but that's partially because it was "Baddie of the week" style show originally, so continuity wasn't a big deal. With Star Wars there was some control over the "canon" at Lucas Arts/Film, so there are fewer contradictions overall in comparison. So they have a map that is basically the same wherever you see it, for most parts. Granted, nowadays a big portion of that has probably been tossed into a bin, at least until it is reintroduced "officially" via films or licensed product. But, despite the control, there are still material that shouldn't have been made or approved...
Consider the amount of retcons they have done (and probably still do) everything is higher than 4? >.>40K universe has actually made their calendar in a way, that if there's potential for canon conflict or wrong information it shows in it. We're still expecting the emperor to send a few unspecified members of the dynasty to us for safekeeping. If she's not one of those, there's still a chance she might tag along if & when the empress comes for a visit. All is not yet lost!View attachment 4303414
I actually thought that this character after showing up in the tower would be added into the group of LI's but havent seen her ever since.
