Ignore these guys who could easily draw maps themselves and give us more story pls. :sneaky:
us drawing map with the infos we have isn't the same as having the map the devs knows of. And btw he jhust released an update let him rest for a bit before asking for more :ROFLMAO:

Honestly it isn't a problem about asking about it, it's on the list of things that "done when I get the chance and the end result doesn't piss me of". Take that as it might happen someday, but I won't make any promises regarding it.

that'd be basically impossible on star wars/trek.
Not really. Not at the start, anyway. All map making starts from somewhere. Star Trek? Earth, you pin that on map, put the nearest real star systems you want, then basically throw darts at the map and where ever the dart lands is system for X species. Star Wars is basically the same. Coruscant is hub of the Republic/Empire, it is a core word (kinda literally since it was close the galactic core) that's your starting point. Then you just do the same. Unless you have specified the distances, then it is slightly more annoying, but not really a problem.

Even when established and you have the whole map "up to date" there still will be large gaps. Just put something there and done. In here it would start from Qishu. It's seven days on foot to the Grayguard village to the north/north-east, that's a maximum of 210 miles. Note humans can travel 20 to 30 miles on foot depending on resting times, terrain, weather, etc. Horses can do 30 miles if I recall correctly per day. Specifically trained horses can do 100 miles a day, but will need several days' rest afterward or they die. After you pinned the places that are known (distance wise) then it is just placing the rest, easier if you haven't specified the distances too clearly.

This line just reminded me of a writing advice i saw going around. How you should never provide numbers for measurements etc... for your readers unless it's absolutely correct, otherwise there's going to be someone who will go any length possible to prove that you were wrong with math. :p

Star Trek is a mess with things, it contradicts itself at times between episodes, but that's partially because it was "Baddie of the week" style show originally, so continuity wasn't a big deal. Even with TNG, it was mostly the same. DS9 and Voyager had an overarching plot during the series, but still a complete mess because there was little to no control of canon still at that point. Now there is, but... yeah... There is a reason why there is a parody song by Voltaire called "U.S.S. Make Shit Up"... It's spot on when it comes to Star Trek.

With Star Wars there was some control over the "canon" at Lucas Arts/Film, so there are fewer contradictions overall in comparison. So they have a map that is basically the same wherever you see it, for most parts. Granted, nowadays a big portion of that has probably been tossed into a bin, at least until it is reintroduced "officially" via films or licensed product. But, despite the control, there are still material that shouldn't have been made or approved...

40K universe has actually made their calendar in a way, that if there's potential for canon conflict or wrong information it shows in it. First number in the dating calendar/dating system is so called check number 0-9, depending on how reliable this information is when it reaches Terra. Since warp travel can cause multiple things to be simultaneously true or even posit you to your destination even before you actually started the warp jump, in rare cases. Basically any class after 4 means the canon truth of events is left in question. :p

Consider the amount of retcons they have done (and probably still do) everything is higher than 4? >.>

I'm not pestering him for something he's trying not to do at least.
Dude he said himself he tried before, I wasn't pestering I just asked once before you answered so rudely.

Now, let's just stop there, talking to you is frustrating -_-"

Hello all!

Friday! So as usual the update has been rendered... I admit, half of the time I wonder why I'm doing the progress posts so often, but then I remember that I update fast, and I want to be as transparent as possible with how things are going. And that alone requires frequent updates. That and can show pretty pictures. Anyway, so...

So the actual update? Rendering is done, except for the hidden render, but that needs a character built, I'm doing the final coding bits so I can hand it to testing soon. The power outage messed up things way more than I anticipated. And few other things throwing curveballs in the mix. Ah well. Might get uploaded day or two later than I would want, but happens, shouldn't affect .30 too much.

Writing is in an okay state, and should be done by Monday. And as usual avoiding spoilers so, well kind of.

Some of you probably wonder about the "last blessing" from the orc gods. I haven't forgotten it, just that there hasn't been suitable opportunities to show if he gains it or not. Technically speaking there is a scenario where it might no be received but that's to be seen then when the opportunity is there.

And then continuing the Christmassy renders... The Seeker. Honestly she and the empress are amusing to render (and emperor). If I would want there probably wouldn't be much more to see than tails. Still, I better get back to work. Mostly the hidden render at this moment to do rest is mostly done just waiting the first run. Anyway, have a great weekend you all! And I'll see you all on Monday...

We're still expecting the emperor to send a few unspecified members of the dynasty to us for safekeeping. If she's not one of those, there's still a chance she might tag along if & when the empress comes for a visit. All is not yet lost! ;)

I was wondering if you would work or continue a project that was abandoned - after you finished your current project of course.

I'm talking about Detective Necro from BlackHandGames
I don't know if you heard, but he abandoned his project -
you can find the reasons in his thread.
There he also said that it would be okay with him if another developer continued his project.
He posted his thoughts and dufs

I am asking because i liked the story especially with other race, magic, etc. and your games are similar with also a good story and writing. therefore i couldn´t imagine another good developer for his project than you.
but its just my opion -
would be nice if the game continued and i am sure you above everyone else would be the right developer for this.;)
