For some reason I get an "Unable to accept invite" message when I try to get on to the Discord page, so hopefully someone updates the mod here soon.

She will be around probably more than one would expect for a "side character", mostly because of fairly obvious reason, one that isn't related to sex either, that is just a bonus content :p

Also while I remember, none of the characters are mandatory for the "good ending" in case of the orc tribe what determines that is do they survive or not. Goblin arc has an alternative solution for the obvious choice that is as valid, just not as "quick". So yeah, you can decline sex with orcs, ogres, goblins, etc. Now their personal line might have a different tone, but that's given. Hypothetically, you can go through the game without sleeping with anyone for that matter, although not sure will I cater an ending for that though.
How does one avoid the scene with the faerie shortly after gaining the tower? The scene seems forced since every choice I make results in the same outcome, even if I select the negative options toward her.

I'm sorry...am I to understand you're trying to NOT have a scene with Shani? The girl that's been with, and in love with, the MC for the longest? Really?

I'm on a single LI playthrough, she's not the LI I chose.
First - This is NOT an attack on you. You are completely within your rights to choose to do so.

Second - Considering the large amount of games with a Single LI, it baffles me that people choose to come to Harem based games and choose to do that here too... Sure, they have the right to do it, this is a single player game after all, whatever happens is for your enjoyment only. However, taking into consideration that that isn't the purported intention of the game, doesn't it get tiring to have to constantly say no to the other girls?

It's not like there aren't many, many, many games that only allow you one LI, or do you go to those games and try to build a Harem? I am truly mystified by this... What goes on those brains?

Never mind me... I'm just venting... OK?

Peace

If it's a Harem based game, why even bother having choices for for LIs in the first place?

If I ignored every game that had the harem tag, I would miss out the many games that allows you to have a harem or a single LI as those developers intended. Tags don't always tell the developers intentions.

The mark of a good storyteller includes the ability to create a great story even while rejecting ALL LIs. Not many games can do that, but I an pleasantly surprised by this game. The story is engaging even without choosing one. So when I ran across that scene with the faerie so far in the game, I knew something wasn't quite right based on how the dev made the game up to that point, and sure enough, the dev verified it was a bug.

And of course I wouldn't try to build a harem in a game that only allows a single LI. That would be like me going into a game where I'm constantly being FORCED into relationships with LIs I don't want, and continue playing hoping things will change.

Answering this part mostly since it's mostly relevant from my perspective. Not every LI is for everyone. There are people don't like Krarga, or Iraea, or Ayaka, or Eirlys, or Lian, or Lilmina, or Rielle, or Gweyr... and that's fine. There are things that make more sense as a harem game, I'm not going to lie about that, but I try to make things so that they do make sense with singular LI or a fewer than the "full harem".

Will the thing make sense at the end though? Yeah, the story does have an ending, and it's relatively easy to make since it isn't about the LI's. Epilogue is a different matter, but that's why there is a side cast that has a lot of characters so I can build things without using the "rejected" LI's as well, most of the "important" characters for the story aren't LI's such as the chieftains of the people in the village. It just means certain parts are shorter than with more characters to interact.

Well, I can't say I understand your POV.

I rarely play single LI games. I find the whole concept wasteful, sometimes even offensively so.

I'll try to explain. The developer used resources, both money, time, work, etc... to create a cadre of sexy women for you to choose. They created backstories, dialogues, locations, animations, the works... And then made it impossible for you to experience all but one of them.

Some even make you pursuit ALL of them, cheating on them all, and then force you to choose only one. Never mind that in the meantime you created some bond with most if not all of them, now cut all of them except one... What is this? A sadistic dungeon?

Sure, there are some decent developers where you keep a friendship (I don't even want to go into that) with the refused, as if we weren't bumping uglies a few scenes ago... all is forgotten, forgiven, no one feels cheated...

And some people have the gall to say it is more realistic...

So, I feel it is better to play them in a different way. Only one playthrough. Only one LI, chosen randomly. No contact, or just the minimum to make them go away. Played until the end. And never touch that game again.

The contrast with the Harem ones is that I replay the good Harem ones multiple times. For example, I've replayed all of Talothral games at least 3 times each. Sorcerer is the exception, it's over 5 times. Why? Because I feel happy. Because I feel respected. Because there's no "cheating".

Seeing you squander a fantastic game as this one, with very interesting and meaningful relationships, just to pick only one, for whatever reason, feels really BAD. It is your choice, don't mind me, but ...

Peace :(

I play good games multiple times as well. A good harem game that allows you to go with a single LI could be easily played multiple times, choosing a different LI each time.

I'm sure if the dev wants you to see all of their hard work with one playthrough, they would make a kinetic novel.

Personally, I have a difficult time conceptually grasping the concept of a harem. Magic, goblins, orcs, etc. make more sense to me than how harems work. That's why I can play pure harem games that give you no choices in who you end up with. It's like pure NTR games make no sense to me at all, but games that use NTR to enrich the storytelling, I don't mind, as long as it makes sense to the story. Some people's brains just work differently. I may not necessarily understand your point of view, but I can see it makes sense to you.
