Funny coincidence, in Germany lightsabers were called "Lichtschwert" or "Laserschwert" for a long time, which translate to Lightsword and Lasersword. Even now I would say most Germans outside of actual Star Wars fans call them "Laserschwert" and not "Lichtsäbel" which would be the accurate translation of lightsaber.

i suggest you use that proclamation about "thought" to not only have a unknown fit the "context" you want but also explore other possibility's
