Weird why codex is reseted everytime i play.

Yeah, spotted your answer to it after I'd posted.

No mods, and I'm looking at the w0gihm.zip file that's supposed to be the 0.33.x optional patch. it just has scripts.rpa, not update33.rpa like the ToaM-0.33.0-Update.zip has.

I verified, in a separate directory, unrpa scripts.rpa from the optional patch, and update12.rpy has

TOMAS "You can all me [TOMAS]."

and the other typos that weren't present in 0.33.

So the optional patch does revert the some of the spelling fixes that were correct in 0.33.0.

... *sigh* I wonder what backups it dug up this time...

You mean from the main menu? Yeah that happens, it is in default state from the main menu. Loading up a save sets the world state since the codex is dynamic outside of unlocking the characters.

even after i load my saved, the codex is not unlock. but i use the renpy launcher to play so it might be that too

Probably, it relies on persistent data (some variables and images seen) and if that gets reset? Yeah...

You don't want her to go back successful to then get killed by the murder-death-cult? It definitely does raise the question of who, exactly, is "good", given what her own people did to hunters / huntresses while growing up — despite the supposed goals they may have.
