Well, so far we've got "the North" which is, I assume, North of Qishu. Qishu itself, and a desert region. It's not too much to keep straight. There were a couple times in TRS2 where I thought of a map, but at that scale it's kind of silly anyway.
Technically, that would be easier. Just take a galaxy map, and put things in random locations. Who is to tell are they right or wrong? >.> Also random fun fact, the last world visited in TRS2 (pre-epilogue) is an actual space co-ordinate (unless I fudged it up which is highly plausible). It's basically the very tip of Sagitarius arm if I recall correctly.

I know, I just suck at drawing. Even with proper "map creation" tools... >.< And trust me, I've tried... often. And will try again soon. >.>
Thankfully in fantasy world that is on par with medieval times on tech, even if there's magic, you can just make very simple and rough maps. No need for too much detail, accurate maps were not a thing until surprisingly recent times, and in some cases the governments spread maps with false details. Reason for those false/extremely inaccurate details was usually to hope your enemy believed those maps and tried to attack from a route that puts them in bad position.

You are overestimating my ability to even draw a straight line... :p

US/Canada border. :)
But in the old days borders were more like the Star Trek TOS neutral zone than sharp lines.
That's because in the old days, borders were drawn with terrain features in mind. Basically what is good landmark for border, that was chosen when the borders were drawn. Rivers, mountains etc... were ideal in use for border landmarks. Of course the stronger nation usually had heavy influence in how those landmarks were chosen etc....

Ahahah, it's nice to know you thought about it before.

But you know what a paint map would be fun (not very professionnal but fun ^^) and would help a bit XD

Honestly it isn't a problem about asking about it, it's on the list of things that "done when I get the chance and the end result doesn't piss me of". Take that as it might happen someday, but I won't make any promises regarding it.

that'd be basically impossible on star wars/trek.
Not really. Not at the start, anyway. All map making starts from somewhere. Star Trek? Earth, you pin that on map, put the nearest real star systems you want, then basically throw darts at the map and where ever the dart lands is system for X species. Star Wars is basically the same. Coruscant is hub of the Republic/Empire, it is a core word (kinda literally since it was close the galactic core) that's your starting point. Then you just do the same. Unless you have specified the distances, then it is slightly more annoying, but not really a problem.

Even when established and you have the whole map "up to date" there still will be large gaps. Just put something there and done. In here it would start from Qishu. It's seven days on foot to the Grayguard village to the north/north-east, that's a maximum of 210 miles. Note humans can travel 20 to 30 miles on foot depending on resting times, terrain, weather, etc. Horses can do 30 miles if I recall correctly per day. Specifically trained horses can do 100 miles a day, but will need several days' rest afterward or they die. After you pinned the places that are known (distance wise) then it is just placing the rest, easier if you haven't specified the distances too clearly.
