I found a “bug” that prevents the game from continuing.
I can roll back, but I always get the same error message:

"I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
File “game/update39.rpy”, line 1124, in script
jump u39_Lakha_SexScene1
ScriptError: could not find label ‘u39_Lakha_SexScene1’.

Windows-8-6.2.9200
Ren'Py 7.3.5.606
Tribulations of a Mage 0.49.0

Is there already a solution for this?

Hello all!

Ehh... it has been one of those days when you just should have turned off the alarm clock and gone back to sleep. Ah well. So what's up?

Rendering? It is in an okay state, not too bad, but not great either. I suppose I'm roughly where I should be, at least after I finish the scene I'm doing. So, not really complaining at this stage.

Writing? Writing is going decently, about halfway through the first update. So, no complaints there.

Old familiar faces... A scene that can be missed, for obvious reasons. I've always tried to, yes really, to reuse existing characters for things. At times that isn't possible, and the cast becomes large. Anyone checking the codex can see that. Is it necessary? Yes, and no, it depends on the story. If it is contained let's say, in one city (or village, or house and so on) you can get by with a limited cast. It makes sense to run into the same people constantly. But when your story can be all over the world, it makes less sense to have a limited cast. But at times old friends can make a difference... assuming they are alive...

This... is mostly a "palette cleanser" for me. And again with the mystery lady... she is in so many renders by now. Truthfully, her role is set already. I know how the story goes for the most part; just the details between the beginning and the end are slightly murky. Eh, things to think about once I get there. Anyway, you all have a great weekend. I'll take a break and render a bit more.

It took four years (arguably less since they turned back at one point to get a letter from Pope to Kublai Khan) for Marco Polo to reach China (he was 17 when they left Venice, and 21 when arriving in China). The world doesn't need to be huge for travelling to take a long time because the routes taken tend to follow the land. And a lot more hazard than one would think, bandits, various monsters, weather, potential war or two that routes things to different route, which all slows the travelling time.

Add to that the use of foots walk (as carts don't run & single horse was scarce & limited to nobles or carts, & even then it's not horse made for running like arbian's horses outside of few nomad tribe/nation like Mongols), the world don't need to be wide to take age to reach your B's point.

I admire and enjoy the world building so there was no complaints just my brain fleshing out some of the detail.

Didn't take it as one. It just might be useful information for someone else wondering to give a bit of context when it comes to travel. Under perfect conditions (meaning absolutely nothing goes wrong) Polo could have made the trip in about a year (210ish days), horse with a cart can travel about 30 miles per day with 12 hours resting period. But that means no bad weather, no bandits, no someone getting sick or injured, and flat terrain with no rivers, lakes and other natural obstacles. No needing to trade for supplies. But since things aren't never perfect it took four years. So taking that four years into consideration, and adding some natural hazards and weather that can be rather extreme near the Pale Reach (Large magical wasteland in the middle of the continent, those who enter are lucky if they come out alive, and extremely lucky if they come out in same shape... but they never come out alone... Also it was/is name of a city at the edge of it) So adding three years seems plausible.

So I'm up to date on the AVN and I would recommend this one for people to check out:

-The writing: the writing does start with a lot of exposition which can be hard to follow. Also felt like some of the earlier conversations could have been a few sentences less due to repetition of things covered in the convo. It definitely improves through the course of the novel or I got smarter because of it and stop noticing it standing out.
-The LIs: I like harem games especially where the draw to the MC isn't "Magic Dick". This one doesn't feel forced and fits within the context of the setting. I also like that the LIs retain their personalities after joining the harem and don't mesh into the same archetype. Would even be happy to see more LIs in the journey throughout the lands.

-The Setting: I like High fantasy and the world building is good in this one. There is a sense of the national divides and realms as well as enough lore to get a sense of the stakes involved for the Beings in the story.
-The lewds: The lewd scenes can get a little repetitive at times but that is what the CTRL key is for. There is plenty of veriety for LIs and veried settings that keeps the scenes from lacking depth. Though I do think the tower/town needs a hotsprings or lake near by it for more varied content.
-The MC and other bros: The MC isn't written in a way that he is OP. Sure they have life experience but also has the good judgements that come with that. Have played enought AVNs wher i have disliked the MC because they were a gaslighter and I wondered how they would be able to get all the LIs. The bro's like Mal have their own story arc and aren't just in the story for comic releaf or to contrast how "great" the MC is. Even if the MC gets tons of LIs it's not a the expense of the bros.

I would give this AVN a full recomendation if the DEV would get into their time machine and go get the finished product from their future selves with twice as much content ofcourse and bring it back to release it yesterday.

Looking forward for more content.

There's two updates left (three for this platform ...)
