You are not missing anything it's just there is a soft lock.
Use the patch I gave and replace it with Mid-Night Patch in the game - menu folder.

it's a metaphor by the author of how we live in cycles in real life too, he just didn't remember to play Bohemian Rhapsody

and now, seriously, I didn't check this update yet, but it may be a soft lock. check some posts above (may be fixed in next update as well)
p.s.: now I played and I think you're still inside that loop. just some more scenes to bedroom and morning with father. I guess
