The employee with 50 buck bonus really shouldn't affect how well they are as a consultant. Kinda annoying to sort through them late game

Small update in November, then final version in January? Uh... this doesn't feel anywhere near done, based on how epic the beginning made it look like the story was going to be, setting up MC to 1) take over all the business on the island, 2) parley that into some kind of coup where he becomes its El Presidente, and 3) get involved in some international incidents where he faces down major world powers. How is all that going to happen in just two updates, and one a minor one at that?

This is just gonna be first of a series.

First is business, then like second or third is El Presidente-

So yeah, this is sort of like "Tropicali volume one" as far as I understand it.

Then I'm also pretty sure dev is planning on reworking how the game is made so Tropicali 2 could actually legally go on steam. (as right now a lot of it is made in a version of Koi, which doesn't allow commercial use, hence everything being donation based)

Noooooooooooo this is one of the handful of games that makes Koikatsu *sing*, moving to something else after developing that level of expertise and talent would be tragic.

Honestly, while I agree the dev has become VERY good at working in Koi, I also think it inevitably holds back their work.

Aside from the obvious which prevents the game from getting an actual commercial release due to legal issues with Koi-

The dev likes to include certain..."psychedelic" or abstract elements to their games, which just seems EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to render in Koi.

On one hand I get the worry of a potential dip in quality, but on the other-

They're basically trying to make professional work with crayons that threaten to explode everything they've ever created if they step out of line. Now they're very good at it mind you, but I gotta imagine the workflow is a nightmare and there is a constantly looming risk that all this could be gone tomorrow.

Keeping that in mind, it's also not like the dev is just gonna suddenly shift entirely to a whole new skill set they've never used before or put out low quality work.

They've been planning and preparing their transition for a LONG time.

Also this is all just from my (faulty) memory, they may stick with koi for the rest of the Tropicali series, they might not, what I DO however remember is that they are making plans to pivot at some point between now, and whenever they start releasing Out of Touch 2-

Which...realistically we're talking on the scale of literal years when this change might take place.

The eloquence with which this author writes is fucking insane, I've never read such intricacy in any adult game before, and I've read many. Never touched his main game before (pun unintended), but if that has at least half as good dialogues as this one - I'll be floored

did he ever release the small november update that was promised
Apparently according to anon it was so minor, and he was so busy with the past two chapters of his other project that he decided to just roll into the last big update coming in January, since most of it was just gonna be tech and polish stuff.

It's not for everybody, but the writing in Out of Touch (the main game) is just as good as in Tropicali. Definitely give it a try!

I would say even better-

If you like long form stories with a nice mix of drama, stakes, wholesome cheesiness, and depression.

I love this story, sometimes VNs feel like they drag on, but the management game is decently thought out. Really wonder when the resort update is going to release.

Does it have the same light hearted, often silly feel that this one does? I've looked at it, but the vibe I get is that its a lot more serious. Wholesome and depression are certainly the opposite of what I personally want in a sex game.

Man, I was surprised by the commie song at the begining. The art and scenes are really good so far.

Dev mentioned it in the community discord server.

Too busy with main project (Out Of Touch) to get it out, plus if they did, it'd just be tech stuff with no lewds/plot, so they're just winding everything up into the final update which is scheduled for January.

Basically they're just pushing one smaller update into a larger update since they gotta take time off for the holidays like everyone else.

It's a more diverse mix-

It definitely has more serious moments, but it also has less "sleaze", it's more focused on building romance and stuff with each main girl than this one where Fernando can be...a bit of a fuck boy just trying to get laid-

It's a matter of preference.

But they both have plenty of levity and humor, it's just that Out of Touch is a lot more character driven and is telling a more focused story.

Hell, personally I prefer the way OoT handles it's main girls than Tropicali so far, but that's mainly due to the main characters being different in personality.

CJ, the protag for Out of Touch, is a lot more personable with all the girls in his harem, basically all of them are childhood friends, and jealousy isn't too much of an issue-

Fernando, Tropicali's MC, is obviously different depending on your choices, but from what I've seen he's always at least KIND of sleazy, even if you steer away from some of the more ethically dubious choices.

CJ is a lot more shounen protagonist who just so happens to be in a hentai drama, while Fernando is pretty outright a hentai protagonist who is more built to just go from sex scene to sex scene without being out of character.

Keep in mind too, Tropicali also has it's dark side hinted at, we just haven't full on dived into it like people who are up to date with OoT have.

Tropicali is basically still in it's set up until this first game is finished, and will basically be "Tropicali volume 1", where as Out of Touch is already almost halfway through it's full story arc. Tropicali is ramping up, but OoT has already gone through multiple arcs of light hearted and silliness and seriousness-

I think if you're good with the humor of Tropicali, and you're still on board after Gloria's route basically has Fernando saying that he'd literally murder someone for Gloria in a heartbeat, you're probably good for Out of Touch...

Hell, OoT is sometimes even more seemingly insane and silly than Tropicali, and they take place in the same world-

It's just that Out of Touch actually plans on explaining all the insanity, while Tropicali so far has just been rolling with it.
