As "(annoying) best friend" AVN tropes go, I think Mark is my favorite (most tolerable?). In some games they're just annoying, or I outright dislike them, but Mark is only slightly annoying and kinda funny. 
Mark and Derek from Being a DIK are two of the better wing men in AVN's. Both have some good moments of being funny and helping the MC.As "(annoying) best friend" AVN tropes go, I think Mark is my favorite (most tolerable?). Yeah Derek would be my #2 choice as well.
Haha I understand that, past relationships have certainly affected what LIs I choose. This game has a couple rare exceptions to my "no milfs" rule (Rachel and Isabella, Rico's mom), and I always have a soft spot for the "redheaded long lost childhood friend" trope because I've never found mine.
Thats my reaction to Zach in Intertwined, and a couple recent first releases too.

This game is special, possibly the best school/college game I've played, I don't remember meeting this many incredible girls in one game and reading this many interesting stories, they made me care for almost all of them and now I'm wondering what to do without a harem tag lol, is there even a game that needs it more than this one, I can only think of this and Campus Bonds...its always the college games. The only knock I had was the MC pushing the "non committal" thing, but it's understandable for a college kid coming off a bad relationship, hopefully as we go we can grow out of it and build something serious with at least one of these girls.

I actually like this doesn't have the harem tag as it means there will probably be consequences for sleeping around and not every girls is gonna accept a harem like it's nothing.

I'm not sure about the consequences thing... MC wasn't looking for anything serious and discussed that with at least some of the girls (not all iirc), since he is going to leave for college after the summer. So I don't think there will be a committed relationship with someone. But not a harem either. But we'll see. So far I didn't make separate saves since the WT mod allows to view scenes that you'd be locked out of otherwise (like when you have to choose who to take on a date etc.)
