I know it is not definitive proof, but the fact that the game has Russian language built in as a choice makes me think he is. The splash screen has both UK and Russian flags displayed for language choices. Not many games include a secondary language choice like that unless the dev is that nationality.

It's the progress report from February the 17th and there has been nothing new since then.
So it seems like he again just disappeared.
