Your analogy makes no sense, the building in question was not unstable. The authorities who ordered its demolition were fully aware that it was perfectly safe. The demolition was completely unnecessary, and all the neighbors are shocked by the arbitrary decision. Despite the so-called "warnings", everyone knew the building was structurally sound. Yet the authorities chose to act based on complaints from outsiders who don't even live in the neighborhood, ignoring the knowledge of local residents. They demolished a perfectly stable building. Now, those same authorities are attempting to shift the blame onto the construction company. Does this story sound familiar?

A software that trigger 25% alerts from a panel of 70 security tools, then trigger even more with its last version in date, can possibly be "just suspicious", but is absolutely not "perfectly safe".

in all seriousness, it would help if the dev or someone in the team cleared why the game needs a second .exe file to run the game, that is totally not needed apparently and constantly triggers antimalware solftware (and why it does that)...

Okay so, just to add something somewhat constructive to this thread ...

I've posted this same information in the game thread before - ever since HT added NTLEAS to the game files, the false positive reports have been ever present.

Before NTLEAS, people were facing major bugs and CTDs due to Japanese characters in the code. This causes issues when your system local is not set to Japanese, because your computer cannot read these characters by default. Changing your system locale or using your own locale emulator is the correct solution, like 99% of all other Japanese games out there.

This issue was raised in the Discord, but HT decided to package the game with NTLEAS, a well known piece of software that triggers anti-virus. I heard all the same things back in the glory days of COM3D2 on HongFire.

I tried to voice the solution on Discord, but yet we are still getting official releases packaged with NTLEAS.

The proper solution is to scrub the game code for all non-English characters.
But the other solution is the same as all other Japanese games, change your system local, or use your own emulator.

Don't take my words as security advice, I'm not an expert.

This certainly needs to be fixed on the developers end, but good luck getting the reclusive anti-social dev to communicate.
