The road to True Facials v0.5
Hello everyone!
It might surprise you, but I've never stopped working.
You might have guessed though, that there were a lot of struggling. And for quite some time.
When we were here last, for months I was hitting a wall on the major features that I knew we all wanted. I was really overoptimistic.
For a while, I had to leave the tech in stasis and continue to make more contents, but gradually that just sapped the life right out of me. Trying to do everything at the same time didn't help, do the project was stuck in place and I were constantly disappointed by the quality of what I can deliver. I desperately wanted it to be better.
For a while, I tried a lot of things with some successes, but each new features brought forward even more new challenges than I expected. I come to understand why so many other projects fail or stall as they get bigger.
I needed more than time.
Even before I went into hiatus, I've tried to recruit people to work with me. I wasn't always a lone wolf going about, but a porn game isn't something easy to get good people on board.
Unexpectedly, some of my friends were finally able to join me. We've all worked together before, and somehow the timings just matched.
It was a revelation.
In a relatively short time, we've made far more progress than I did on my own. It's not just the workload, we really enabled each other to do what we were good at. Ideas, solutions and workflow starts to come together. Furthermore, we all found parts of the project that we were excited about. We had a feeling that what we're building was special.
And finally we got there! Today, we'll be releasing a smaller scale and rough Technical Test of v0.5, to identify big problems like crashes, bugs and performance issues. A more detailed list of features will be included in our release posts later.
In short, we've redesigned and rewritten almost every system that were in place. It was the only way to achieve what we wanted: multiple characters interacting, facial controls, handjob, interchangable clothing and a lot more.
Notably, the new story system ties everything together.
In its most simple form, it's a way to add some flair to the scenes we enjoy or just a collection of poses. But it can be much more, to tell stories and breath life into all of our favorite characters, like a 3D fanfiction maker. The only way I got any of that is waiting 4 years for the second part of a game, and without the sex.
We've had a blast using it to make our own story chapters and can't wait to make more. But until now, we've been designing it completely in the dark. With your help, we can get the feedbacks we need to take it where it should be. And during that, we can get to enjoy what everyone make too. Scenes and poses for sure, but hopefully something more.
As for the team, one of us will be in close support for you on both Patreon and Discord from now on. This would allow me and the other guy to focus fully on pushing us forward. Please also expect some small changes in our Tiers to make things more streamlined.
It's been a long road since we started, and I've got to know my shortcomings in more ways than one. Somehow though, I feel that we're still on the right path. This is my dream, and I hope that you'll enjoy what we've made and support us on the journey forward.

- You can pose almost every part of the body, including eyes and facial expressions of multiple characters. This can then be saved as scenes.
- These scenes can then be used with the story system to easily add branching dialogues, choices and more specific to TF, reactions. Fully intergrated with Lua scripts, it also allows custom logic to drive the story and interactions even further.
- Systems are in place to help characters to act based on their expressions and voice. Like posing, it's supposed to be fun to work on.

Technical demo is out. Some people in the server are talking about it. It's apparently a couple of curated scenes and that's it. The dev's record of long absences and incredibly shitty communication skills have me pretty cynical so I'll believe it's a nothing burger and/or cash grab until 0.5 is actually out and as good as he is promising. Hopefully somebody uploads it here cause there's no fucking way I'm paying for a tech demo after two years of total radio silence.

if he wanted a cashgrab after all this time, he could have just released the next version of the game without any of the rework

- Gizmos so we can finally pose characters with precision
- Pose saving(not scene saving) & sharing

Truly. He couldv just followed what others did and do monthly updates with only bare minimum progress. Right now I'm giddy seeing discord and this thread come alive. The free-posing facial expressions take the cake for me.
