Agree 100%, not mentioning the various "reset traps" in the controls, this game is getting less and less "plug and play" that was its strongest attribute.
Moreover this version kind of confirms that they are working on a top tier machine, meaning that when they mention a "slight performance variation" it'll be a rollercoaster for almost everybody else.
All argouments impossible to discuss on Discord, between fanboys and propaganda like moderators.

I agree with waiting.. hopefully for Xmas...

Despite folks claiming it's a false positive, it's pretty clear the .exe is packed with unwanted code. But the game has a cult following, so of course you'll get dismissed for asking.

The ironic part is, the game doesn't even need TrueFacials.exe to function, highlighting how careless some people can be about security.

Delete TrueFacials.exe, and just start the game with bin.exe.
I'd also delete the ntleas (Locale Emulator) folder and TrueFacials.bat (Emulates L1041/Japanese).

i asked a few tech guys i know to fully look at the game files and their behavior.. in short the game files, libraries, all of the stuff doesnt have any suspicious behavior and it does nothing on windows files or the computer or anything while the game is being executed, it doesnt inject anything and it doesnt try to access browsers,, file or documents.. i think this was explained by others previously, but yeah, the consnesus of people who know about this and not the lil kids here screaming 'VIRUS, VIRUS!' cuz their cheap and bad av says so and they fully believe in those crap programs, most people dont even know how pc virus acts.. the game just triggers av due to some specific stuff related to unity behaviors, but thats only for the game files in the game folder.

of course people are free not to play the game cuz of this ever and thats fine, if ur ignorant and fear the boogeyman, then dont download porn,, porn games or any of this shit, thats my 2 cents...

anyone can come and ofc prove me wrong by showing the game files do something, somewhere, but no one has been able to, they just believe its dangerous, cuz they are kids and since they dont understand, but a program says its virus for them, then they call the game sus... fine by me.

performance sux right now, but you cant do much about this except waiting for a fix, the options are now lossless scaling i guess, because even with the in game fsr, in performs much worse than 0.55 or 0.56 and characters still look so off imo.

To be honest I expected worse.. but it's the instability that worries me.
3 different counters give 3 different results never reaching 100% and going repeatedly up and down from 40 to 80% gpu and the fans constantly at 100%..

It got a little better swapping the dlss and activating framegen, but I really don't want to fry my gpu.

So.. as promised made a couple of cross-version tests:

- New chars don't work in 0.56
- Maps do work, but no skybox, no lights control, so:
Map Store usable 95% (even looks better than 0.57)
Map Hotspring usable 50% (closed environment)
Map Island Unusable (misalligned and no light)
Map FeudalJp Unusable (no ambient light / black-white effect)
Maybe The skydomes can be injected or even activated via Unity explorer.
Just don't ask me to do it

No, this is a problem of the game. I have the same thing - a black screen, despite the fact that the previous version worked fine.

Hello! I'd try to see your work, but I downloaded only 4 scenes out of 29 as the download page says ( because I'm lazy to download all 29 I'll try them when I do have a little more time, please excuse me for my lazyness ), and I don't understand some things:

1. Where should I put the files? I tried to put them in Mods/Script and when I try to play them in the game, it only gives me a black screen.
2. Which version of the game should I run on? I run the 0.56 as you suggested.
3. Are there any other Mods required to install from either your files or community posts? I installed the MODS folder from the suggested stable 0.56 links.
4. Everything in the folders should remain untouch or should I delete one of the folder. I see a complete story and a story by chapters.

If you can tell me where did I messed up and help me with it, I'd be grateful!

Go back a few pages in this thread and download the mods, I recall that's how you got the other characters in prev versions
