As much as I want to like this NTR setup, the characters are, once again, incredibly cliche.

Even their bio's are cliched (the likes & dislikes are apparently universal among all NTR games)...

NTR innovation is dead...
This is exactly what I thought when I saw the bio, but decided to not bother to mention. Almost 95%+ NTR games follow same cliches over and over again.

The ironic thing is that when NTR devs try to innovate, they often get insults and hate for it. You really can't please anyone

I think Azienda did enough with moving away from the classic modern/city setting with wife or girlfriend stolen by a random guy. And last note, the art looks awesome

Ntr doesn't need innovation I'm here to bust not think.
Fair. But then the question arises. If you are here to only bust and not to think, why would you bother to wait for a game you don't even know when it'll get update and finish? 2 years? Or 1 year at best?
There are bunch of complete games outside, you know. Just saying.

Huh ? First the dev been nothing but consistent with updates, second imagine I've already played every worthwhile netorare game there is. note : there aren't that many of them.

Regarding innovation - I don't think its needed nor really possible. When this subject pops up it may seem like popular opinion because sure enough we got nothing against innovation. But can it really work ? Will people like it ?. Think how many "outside of the box" netorare you liked ? For me when devs start to experiment I just end up liking their stuff less.

The only thing I can hope for is to be more than one antagonist and that they are involved in the corruption process rather than being an end game thing.

Meet the villain of Falling Undercover: Nox Syndicate!
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

That's all for the main cast, but we'll be posting more new FUNS art next week!
MC got some upgrades but the villain is in his own league. I can see people feeling insecure just by looking at his image.

The setting is different enough, but it's still hardly innovation. We again have a (married?) couple working together, who will encounter an "alpha bull" that will wreck their plans of a happily ever after.

And while that is not a bad thing in itself, the characters are almost a carbon copy of Sophie, Felix, and Zack.

You don't need a FMC who "hates bullies" and the antagonist who "hates weaklings", that's where the true innovation happens... which this is not.

I'm not saying this will be a bad game (TTP is not a bad game, not at all), but it's too safe. More of the same.

Instead of broadening their creative horizons, they are clearly choosing to stick to their guns.

If they weren't working together there would be no game, since she's a spy. What would be the game about, the girl infiltrating and the husband staying at home? Or working somewhere else? How do you even make netorare in a setting like that?

Yeah that's what netorare is. Someone stealing the love interest of someone else. I suspect you want something that's not even netorare if you complain about a guy stealing the girl from the mc in a netorare game.

Guys, the new game isn't even out yet and this isn't really the thread to discuss it even if it were out. Chill out and wait, or join the Discord if you wanna talk about FUNS.

Before mods decide to do clean-up of totally off-topic posts...

Yeah, this isn't really the place for this discussion, and we barely know anything about the game yet, so there's no need to jump to conclusions like that.

It's a kink, I dare say most people want more of the same. And my question stands, what is the "outside of the box" netorare experience that you would recommend ?

For netorare to exist there needs to be a relationship and a force that destroys it. The force can come from one of 4 vectors:
MC - often enough mc is lacking for the ntr to happen but people do not like when MC is the bad guy - example Edge Of
FMC - if FMC cheats on her own or there is little push that she needs it means she was already corrupted - generally people want FMC to be as pure as possible so her fall is more pronounced
Bull - we are here - the bull needs to be an asshole to want to destroy the relationship. The other reason that could drive him is love for FMC but that would be romance with extra steps, bleh.
"Greater force" - lewd curse, hypnosis , mind control or otherwise rigged world rules. The problem here is that those take away freedom of choice and are hard to connect with.

That is kinda it, this is what devs need to work with.

EDIT: Let's not forget all the complains about game having too much text. People aren't here for unique story, we know how it goes and what it will happen. The story is mainly to connect us with the characters - is he brave or coward, workaholic ?, spends time with wife? is the wife satisfied, does she find him lacking and so on.

Most of Netorare devolves around some variation of blackmail or coercion, a "tit for tat" service exchange that grows out of control of the FMC.

However, we rarely get NTR scenarios where, through MC's action or inaction, he pushes the FMC away into the arms of the antagonist (who doesn't have to hold any malice towards the MC to want to steal the FMC).

And most of all, these NTR games end with the FMC becoming the village whore, a mind-broken slut for cock that can't even think straight anymore.

All the reasons why "A Better Life" is my favourite ending in TTP - a tale of NTR that doesn't end with the FMC serving as no more than a cock-sleeve for her bull, but instead develops an actual relationship with (even if the story between them started out in a cliche manner, at least it didn't end that way). Sprinkle me some actual romance in the NTR, instead of "big cock energy".

I understand I might be tad too specific in my tastes, but a man can dream...

We don't get many games where MC is the main reason why relationship falls apart because people don't really like that. I'm indifferent but I've certainly seen all the complains Edge of got. I think in netorare people want to see MC as victim. MC as being the guilty party is something that happens in netorase turn into netorare.

FMC ending up in relationship with bull is quite common in netorare, I'm not sure what is the issue here.

We all got our preferences that's fine but the topic was innovation. romance in ntr is not innovative, its just not popular.

The FMC ends up in a sub-dom relationship with the bull, but it's not a "happy ever after" nor is it a romantic ending in the slightest. That's one of the key factors I think is missing in most NTR endings.

In the end, I suppose you are correct in that romance in NTR paths isn't really popular. Which begs the question of why people dare complain about NTR tropes being overused, when those same tropes are what sells? One answer is: not the same people, but that just feels like a non-answer & cop-out...

For sure it is difficult to make sense out of the all complaining people do. That is why saying what you want is far more valuable than saying what you don't want. But often enough people don't even know what they want - I would question if that is a group worth listening to.

You could totally make it work: Heroine coming back home every day or staying in contact with the MMC long-distance while keeping her cover, slowly changing without the poor guy being able to understand why, or intervene...

But if they're spying together the bull has ample opportunity to rub it right in the MMC's face and he can't say a thing, I'm betting that's gonna be a huge part of this one.
