Well, in general, there is a wonderful page called LATEST UPDATES. Go there, filter by the desired tags, and you can choose to sort not by date, but, for example, by rating or number of views. Then look at the screenshots and read the reviews.
I am sure you will find a lot of good stuff (though not right away).

Honestly I'm glad he's making custom maps. I've played too many of these games and now I just see the same maps over and over and it really takes me out. I like that he's willing to put in the effort. That's part of what makes this game special.
But we could be spending meaningful time on a bench in that one park that every game shares!!!
Agreed. Like the scene with Vicky on the Corruption Route was also great because of the environment. And I think the game would be worse if he would not do his own maps.
He gives us status updates so people considering it abandoned is crazy. I follow games that dead ass dont say anything and just drop the update a year plus after the last update. I think this game usually drops pretty substantial updates for how long we have to wait. Obviously everyone that comments here cares about the game and hopes the game updates as frequently as possible. As long as Baibai gives us written updates even if its bs it lets us know hes still there working on it. Slow progress is better than no progress.
You don't need to say the word "promise" for something to be one, we're not 3 years old my dude. A promise is just stating that something will be done.

It is not a promise unless baibai has made a pinky promise.
Serious though, I think the issue is that there is no concrete schedule. Everyone is expecting that the work will be done, and in a reasonable time frame. But how long time is reasonable is very subjective.
Okay then show me when baibai has, in this dev cycle, made a declaration that he will do something specific and has broken that declaration.
Just because you would have liked for the update to be done by now, doesn't mean you can just halucinate a promise and consider it broken.

I complain about things, but I will never say BaiBai is a bad dev. At least he lets you know that he is still there, and he is doing something. Most devs just stop and never tell anyone what they are doing. Keep up the good work BaiBai, we can wait for it.....

You argued that for a promise to be broken the word "promise" doesn't need to be said. So show me the promise or declaration or whatever you want to call it that you think baibai broke.

The missed launch dates are obvious, yet he absurdly defends the developer, even when the attacks aren’t directed at him personally but at his work on an adult game...

I'm a his supporter on SS since a long time so you can't say I'm not objective, but the latest version was supposed to be released in September. It's not normal to spend so much time on the translation. I've defended him tooth and nail, but you can't say that development has been optimal for the past year and a half. What's more, we're not even sure what he has in store for us next, remake or not. Baibai has real talent, but he's messy. I'll continue to support him financially and see this update through, but after that, I don't know. He doesn't give me that vibe anymore of knowing where he's going or if he's still as motivated as ever. I hope I'm wrong. I recently asked him how many renders he estimated there would be in the next update. He didn't answer, but his post suggested that he wasn't at the same monthly average as before (but that the images had improved in quality). I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but when you put it all together, it's a little scary for the rest of the game, knowing that we may be at best halfway through without rushing (some characters have very few scenes and not much development, how will the harem be built, etc.).
