I’d argue that in reality, the speed of updates is a bigger advantage than their quality. All top projects eventually fall into this pit — the gap between updates becomes so huge that you could graduate from university, get married, and have a kid in the meantime. And unfortunately, once you reach that stage in life, you’ll have far less time for games — especially for ones that are, to put it mildly, questionable for an average person.
Most of the current top projects, including this one, will probably keep coming out for at least another five years — meaning 90% of its original audience will never see the ending. And there’s a huge chance that not even the developer will see it, because in an endless chase for quality at the expense of speed, he might lose all motivation and abandon the project halfway through.
