At 5:30 this morning (Beijing time), I found baibai online on discod, and it was offline immediately. I think he's partially prepared for that.
I completed the game and have enjoyed it quite a bit, pretty excited to see what's to come especially the seduction route for Viki and Catherine!

I think you're right, BaiBai is making things hard for himself by not keeping his mouth shut. I think he was planning to do that, but it seems he couldn't help himself. To be honest, I haven't taken his promises seriously for a long time. If he's working on the update (fingers crossed), then thanks for that.
You guys misunderstood him when he said before new years you assume 2025 he was talking about 2026.

I believe its for people to compare the hash if someone ends up leaking the update. If the hash from the devs file is different from the leak, it means the files have been tampered with and it's not safe.

Is the hash check indeed, just can't remember now exactly witch one it is.
And yes is pretty much that, is a verification method for the archives or files to make sure they are the exact one developer posted. If the hash differs, then the file have been tampered with and even if not in a malicious way, it would make you question yourself twice if to download it or not.
Nevermind about the hash method, is MD5, is even said in the lines there, beside 4th line *certutil* tells exactly what it is all about, more precise the -hashfile argument
