I agree that Chang is probably the best example. He has a girlfriend outside of your harem that you have no interest in and it's sad that the best thing about him is that he only take a little bit of screen time. I'd say at best male best friend characters reach "neutral" on a good to bad part of a game scale.

Leo on the other hand is just miserable. Even MC constantly complains about him IN the game. When he turns into a whiny bitch after you start dating Stephanie I just wondered why I was forced to sit through this. He doesn't need to be in the game. He's never going to contribute anything worthwhile.

Yeah Leo is annoying. He is there to be a mirror for how the mc was in the original timeline and thus explain how he ruined all his relationships and became the wreck of a man he is in that timeline.
Now that we progressed the story he isn't really needed anymore for that, so baibai introduced the malena subplot in order to have an excuse to remove leo mostly from the screen. Leo is annoying, Melena is annoying and they can be annoying together, somewhere else. Away from the mc.
But apparently now people are crying and want a melena corruption route, which if it would happen, would inevitably drag leo in the forefront of the story again.

I agree in principle but let's be real here. Leo and guys like him aren't a threat to anybody but themselves as they beat their lil dicks senseless in jealous rage.
I would love a comedic arc where he actually tries to steal one of MC's girls because that shit would be gold.

It's explained in the game that she only ended up that way because of her crippling abandonment issues and feelings like she was unworthy of being loved because of her mother and her dad's issues.
Her trauma fucked her up.
She did what a lot of people with similar issues do and looked for it in all the wrong places and based on what character Baibai compared her to when can infer she got on drugs like her dad screwed her life up and met an early tragic end.

Her having a high libido and being a bit perverted doesn't automatically=whore in real life or in this game.

the difference between High Quality and Standard Quality versions is just the bitrate of the videos and compression of the images ? they are both at 1440p. maybe BaiBai should just render in 4K for the High Quality version and downscale to 1080p for the Standard Quality ?

Not sending the pictures puts you on the seduction route. Sending them puts you on the corruption route. The seduction route has so far quite a bit more content for Alyvia, including 2 H-scenes.
