Secondly, as BaiBai already said, the rework won't affect all the content and won't take that long (especially if he gets help from the community).
Thirdly, if he do nothing, we may not see the game completed at all, as ALL platforms will most likely crash.
You only think about yourself, you are rude to everyone, you demand that you be given everything at once, but why should you? First learn to be polite before you start demanding things.

Alright, this was kind of a weird week. It didn't start of the best with the development once again reaching its most un-fun part even though I really tried this time to change my communication in terms of expectations but I guess its just kind of inevitable for things to turn out like this with the time between releases being as they are. It isn't that tragic though, after all its not like we haven't been through this plenty of times by now. Much worse however was the whole Itch.io thing which together with the Steam purge happening right before it really scared the shit out of me.

For those of your who don't know, Itch.io deindexed all adult games due to outside pressures while they're working their way though them, banning everything that doesn't adhere to a certain set of rules.

Because of that I very seriously considered just dropping everything else to start working on a heavily censored remake of the game as soon as possible to be on the safe side of things and I even already started digging through v0.1 to figure out how I'd best go about doing so, but I calmed down a bit by now. To be honest though, I still think doing it this way would be the most rational course of action and I'm probably kind of stupid not to do so immediately. At the same time however I don't think I can do it. V0.10 isn't in a state where I'd be willing to say fuck it and just release it. The way things are right now I'd rather cancel it completely and try to work myself back to the current state of things as fast as possible but I really don't think I can do that to you guys and I also think that it would be nice to have at least episode 1 out in the way it was meant to be (I also don't even want to imagine the shit show that would break loose if I did, but that's secondary). Accordingly I decided to just stick with it for now and gamble on the game being safe for a while longer. After v0.10 however, the way I'm currently thinking is that I won't start work on v0.11 and instead start over with a remake of v0.1 which will most likely end up quite a bit different from how things are right now. But we'll see about that once I get there, especially since I currently have two different ways in mind how I could go about doing this from which I'd still have to decide on one.

All of this sucks to an unbelievable degree but sadly there is no way of knowing whether I'm overreacting or not, though I kind of doubt that I am. Either way, for the last few days I've been kind of flip flopping between trying to continue the work on v0.10 and starting over with the v0.1 remake without getting much done of either and while doing so I realized too late that I still had to do some bonus renders for today. I'll catch up with posting those next week instead and try to get my head back straight in regards to wrapping up v0.10

A censored remake would just take out like 40% of what makes this game interesting (the taboo) stuff. And what's the point really when in another 6 months all porn could be banned from patreon or whatever and then what?

I understand that baibai is getting nervous and it's for good reason, but I feel the best approach would be to just finish up the rest of 0.10 and then see how the situation has developed. Maybe it'll be worse, maybe it'll be better. If he is going to remake the rest of the game, the few weeks it takes to finish 0.10 isn't going to save that much time on the remake anyway.
Also, I understand that a lot of people are upset, but making some models a bit larger and aging the character up isn't going to destroy the game either. If you consider such a version unplayable, then you also consider most games on this site unplayable. Sucks for you, but claiming that it would be something "no one will like" is definetly not true.
I think the best course of action is just to wait and see how the situation develops further. Everything sucks right now, but who knows. Apparently according to a twitter post a large number of calls has already lead to escalating the issue internally at mastercard. Who knows if that's true or if it will lead to something if it is, but we can only hope.

I understand that but the problem with changing the models is that it takes away the taboo aspect of the game imo.... one of the appeal of this game is the taboo otherwise we would be all playing a generic college harem game.

Yes, BaiBai did say it won't take too long. And he's lying to himself. By his own admission, he'd have to re-do every single render with the MC, as well as several other characters (Stephanie, Viktoria, Cathrine, Emily, and Lola), which accounts for a huge portion of the renders. Every scene in which any of those characters appears would have to be redone; that's going to take a very long time. I'd say that scenes in the game which don't include the MC, Stephanie, Viktoria, Cathrine, Emily or Lola in some capacity are less than 20% of the game, and I think that's a very generous estimate.
I think it's clear that he's intending to do that, and he's trying to convince himself that's not a big deal so as not to demoralise himself with the scale of the problem, rather than acknowledging that between re-renders, re-writes (huge chunks, everything related to family, which accounts for a lot of the content) and re-translation (a part of the process that already takes a lot of time), it's going to be probably at least a year, likely more, until he gets back to the point he's currently at.
He's said himself it would take time, I just don't think he's being realistic about how much time.

If he goes the "official release is completely platonic relationships between family rmembers" route, he'd need to not include the "true" renders or text in the official release. The "unofficial fan patch" would have to add them, not merely unlock their availability. If he included them in the base release and there was a patch to unlock them, it'd only take one person telling Itch.io that was the case for him to be banned from the platform.

He absolutely should NOT rush a harem ending into version 0.10. That was an utterly ridiculous suggestion that guy made.

He doesn't even need to do that for Stephanie, Viktoria, or Catherine. They already look like they could be 18 or 19. *Maybe* tweak Stephanie's face a little. Hell, it could be argued he doesn't need to do it with the MC either. Short guys exist. Society fucking hates us, but we exist. Emily and Lola would be the big ones that would need the redone renders, and that's mostly a "make them taller" thing. And maybe tweak their faces a little bit too.

The biggest change and the only reason why I can't just do a rewriting of the script files to get rid of all the taboo dialog/narration for it to be patched into its original version later are the models and its probably the thing that would hurt most. They have to be changed to look like actual adults: MC bigger than Jacky. Stephanie, Viktoria, Cathrine, Emily, Lola on par with Alyvia and Mya.

Apart from that I wouldn't re-imagine the game, I wouldn't change the story in any massive ways. In fact, for the most part it would be exactly the same, day by day, scene by scene, even render by render with the vast majority of dialog and narration being one-to-one as it is right now. I'd need to put all the school girls at the end of Z-School, so I'd need to adjust some dialog here and there for it to make sense, but that would be pretty minor. I would also need to change the Cathrine corruption route for it so be consensual but I think to already know a way to do that by only changing a few paragraphs of dialog too.

Don't do this shit, it will remove much of the appeal and drive people away. Stop panicking and jumping to hasty decisions. If you don't feel calm enough to make a rational decision now, then put it off until things calm down and become clearer. I can only speak for myself but if you bend the knee and go down the censorship, remake route then I and likely many others will just leave and forget this game.

Like I said, the weather is unclear for now, instead of rushing a new remake 0.1 in a short of time, why not just put on the vacation break again like last time?
Wait until the coast is clear is better than making a remake then discover there is no need to do so.

It's a big deal, my friend. It's really sad when something you love changes completely, and it's not even to satisfy your audience, but to kneel down to a company and that they give you a couple more months of life (or not even that), and you've disappointed your entire audience. I vote for putting the game on hold until this situation passes; it seems the most logical thing to do. But, well, it's Baibai's decision, after all.

- Please release v10 as it was planned. Us, subs on SS, already funded it for a while (7-8 months), it's only fair.
- Adjust after you release it - take a vacation to see what happens, release a neautered version, take the route of "landlady" or do whatever you think is best when the situation is clear, you decide and the people will decide if they like it.
- Do not make premature decisions. If your account gets nuked on SS you can make another one and a patreon one and let us know in discord and here, people will flock and support you. I'm not sure why you are overreacting, you are pretty un-cancel-able they way I see it (although the game in its current form might be not).

I'd disagree that he could leave Stephanie, Viktoria, or Cathrine as they are and avoid the new standards that Itch.io are implementing. But, more importantly than my opinion, BaiBai himself acknowledges he'd have to change them. He said "They have to be changed to look like actual adults: MC bigger than Jacky. Stephanie, Viktoria, Cathrine, Emily, Lola on par with Alyvia and Mya."
If he wants to avoid Itch.io banning him because of their new standards, there can be no shadow of a doubt that the characters are all adults. "Short guys exist" and "some people have youthful faces" will not fly as an excuse, because we all know those are "wink wink nudge nudge" claims, and Itch.io have no burden of proof if they decide the characters aren't adult, and there's incest; they just have to believe it to be the case, and BaiBai's getting banned.
