Because the more versions are released, the longer the updates become: 600 renders, then 1,000, then 1,800, then 2,300, and the last one was over 3,000. Everyone told him he could slow down a bit, and he knows it himself, but I think he can't help himself.

Dev these day, either miscommunication or don't listen feedback. can't help himself that not excuse... may be one or two time people may understand one after other become annoying. give example: if the teacher tell you turn in your homework with your deadline, when the time is up. he said to the teacher give me more time i can do it better. doesn't matter how good is already pass the deadline. dev have poor management skill.

Weekly development update
Alright, I know I said I'd start putting all the scenes into the script this week but that turned out not to be totally truthful. If you remember back half a million development updates I did start post-processing the renders in this development circle and while I did everything from v0.1 to v0.9 back then I only know realized that I still had to do the v0.10 renders too. Accordingly I did that for most of this week.

Anyway, I got done with that and I also started with some of the script work yesterday but the progress here is barely worth talking about. Its really just putting in the first few scenes, doing some transitions and checking that all the renders are labeled correctly since no matter how much I try to be tidy with this stuff, it always end up being messed up.

we'll get the update in 2 weeks ig.

but most devs here do not have deadline, that's the problem, they will work to release the update when they please and their supporter feel like the waiting is worth it, there is no constract to force them to deliver as a fixed day

I know a game where is like 200 pages solely dedicated to that. People on daily basis go there and rant, 2 years straight. I even don't understand why the thread is not locked by mods. BaiBai at least constantly telling us bed time stories. And I think there should be one update rant message limit per thread.

Almost nobody is accusing Baibai of milking. You are complaining about 1 or 2 people who discovered the game recently and literally do not know what they are talking about.

Baibai is not milking, he is dragging the game development for dubious, unclear reasons and not addressing development speed as a major issue of the game which will cause the game to never be completed. That's not milking.

Actually, there are rules about this, but moderators are usually lenient, only getting involved in really bad cases or if someone complains.
