Honestly that sounds like more work than one ending that allows you to choose each girl individually, if he plans on having them be distinct from each other.

In what world? Unless the game immediatly closes when you're making your choice for a girl, which would be a shit ending, making individual endings for 12 girls, means making 12 endings, which is significantly more than making 4 endings of the various harem constellations.
It also wouldn't make any sense, since it is very very obvious that this is a harem storyline and not a 1 girl romance type of thing.

Yeah sure, because when I said quite clearly one ending where you can choose which girls are or aren't romanced, I actually meant twelve single-girl endings. Did you think about that for even five seconds before posting nonsense?

Your option would require even more work. Since in that case Baibai would have to make renders for all possible combinations, since the girls involved in the ending would have to have renders where they all are present. Or do you think the ending would just list the girls you chose and have their solo renders?

The thing is - who actually would go for a single girl ending? Even if you consider only the Main-LIs, you would have 6 different endings. And in all of the endings, you would also need some form of conclusion for the girls you did not choose, simply because the premise of the game is that MC makes the world better for the girls. (And even if not, they would still require some form of ending if MC is with a single girl)

I dont think it would be worth it to make Solo-Endings. Only a very small amount of people would pick those endings and I think having different kind of Harem-Endings is already enough, considering that the vast Majority will go for full Harem anyway.

I've seen other games doing something like that, having special renders for each LI and only editing very specific ones, don't love it or hate it particulary but I think only the main LI would have a solo ending even if that were the case, I'm more of the wagon of full harem and particular harem endings since that's what the writing points out, any more that that could be nice, maybe as a sort of DLC after the game is finished but right now I just want the game to keep going dude.

I think he means something in the style of either a collage/family photo with girls depending on who you choose or one of those RPG epilogue things like in Dragon age/baldurs gate 3 where you get a snapshot of what each character is up to
