The thing is that none of the people that paid the $100 are complaining lol. Everyone that subs to him and that has more than 2 working brain cells knew that the remake would only have the prologue. Also for the people that don't know what the word patron means, you aren't buying a game you are donating to a dev so he can keep working on the game. People just want to use the $100 tier to shit on the dev because they don't have any better arguments.

This fiasco isn't even about how good/bad the remake is. People who hated on Snats in the past will 100% hate on the prologue as well and people who supported him will not. I find it amusing this thread cares more about business practices and calling out the dev or people who pay for porn more than the game itself.

It's mostly people that never subbed complaining about people supporting a game they like. Most of the dumb stuff they are complaining about is stuff that all the people supporting already knew. None of the supporters are surprised that it's only the prologue or that he didn't add all the characters that he showed in the dev logs to the prologue. They will keep shitting on the game and the dev but as soon as an update is leaked or is released to the public they will be the first ones to play it.

Now at this point in time, you could play the game early for $20, but lets say you wanted to support the dev, and you paid for the $20 tier so you could get the koikatsu cards. You have spent, over the past year, $240 for some Koikatsu cards, full access to a discord, a mention on the News Network, and 3000 renders and 200 animations. At a $20 price point, that is still not a lot for your money, ESPECIALLY when we are living in a recession.

All I'm saying is that people have a right to be disappointed.

What you people fail to realise is that content creators do first and foremost what they want, they don't actually serve any one of us regardless of how much money we give them. That's why he spent more than half that year making 150 koikatsu models and custom backgrounds/ animations etc. that will not be present in the game any time soon. If you actually expected a a remake worth 1 year of development and a x k monthly salary on ver. 0.1 than you were setting yourself up for disappointment

There are characters, maps and, I am sure, story (or at least a draft with main points) that was done, the only thing left is "making it into a game".

The only sad part is that over the years Snats has made A LOT of content that was never made public or now it's no longer available. There were a lot of public channels on discord with bonus animations, renders and even fan content made with the kk cards that were deleted and those goods were never posted elsewhere.

I really hate talking in this forum as no one here understands game design or project management, so its just "its free" "nobody else is complaining" "discord and patreon like it" the game is a 3D VN make in Ren'Py with a premade model engine the most time consuming part is rendering, I still like the game im not hating im just disappointed

"1 week of work" is not a valid opinion. But if i had expectations for version 0.1 I would have been disappointed as well. I am waiting for content with the main characters so getting used to waiting until they eventually get introduced it's the best cope for me

If you think that the remake was not necessary that is fine. I would even agree with you on that I was happy with the older version. "but if you WANTED to get the small amount of content early you need to pay $20" So yeah your whole issue is that people that voluntarily sub to the game have some perks that the non subs don't have despite the fact that you get the exact same game for free anyway.

The difference between golden mean and this game is that if you sub now, you get the current version for this game. In golden mean's case it doesn't matter which tier you sub to you will have to wait 30 days to get the update even if the game is already out for the other people that subbed to the exact same tier as you. So the dev is actually punishing newer subs and that is not the case here. If you can't tell the difference then I don't know what to tell you.

So I played the game and in terms of story it's not a very big update but in terms of content it's big enough for me to say that, I may have to wait for at least 2 more updates to have the opinion that snats is slacking on this game or that he is milking his patrons, hopefully the hospital part will be released before Feb ends and after that the 3rd release will be the deciding release.

Like many others imo this remake wasn't necessary but let's not worry about what's already happened. this prologue was good, more detailed than the previous one, animations were smoother and of course many more things improved over the previous one so at least we have something and if he can put consistent updates after this, I am all for it again.
