At this point I think they simply don't want adult games there, but instead of just banning all games and having to deal with the backlash they will just keep making it harder for devs to be on their platform so they move out on their own.

It's mostly because sites like subscribestar don't use paypal. Devs use forums like this one for advertising so they don't really care about reachability on patreon. But yea at this point, unless you're making a super vanilla game there are more cons than pros for being on patreon. Every year they get more and more restrictive. They have made it pretty clear that they want nsfw content out of their platform, and the only reason they don't just ban all games is because they don't want to deal with the backlash of hundreds of devs and their fans. It's way easier to remove a few at a time.

The remake is really good, love that the heaven and hell are different and new places can be explore,. Unlike the previous.
We just don't like that we started from point A again instead of continuing the story, thought snats gonna just change the models and just renovate the maps.

yes it's credit cards but that's not the real reason.
i'm pretty sure they don't have any real moral compass, they only care to the extend of whether it's making them more or less money.
there are national and international regulations for each country regarding certain pornographic content (human trafficking, **, sexual exploitation, etc) and from time to time the authorities will hammer mastercard and visa for this stuff regardless if there's good evidence or not that there's anything illegal (imagine some judge getting triggered by something they saw online and issuing a judicial order against whoever is in charge of it).
mastercard and visa then have to spend time and money defending themselves for virtually no benefit.
it's an obvious equation, they just prefer to get rid of stuff even remotely risky at the drop of a hat to save money on lawyers.

The remake was great but I really hope the dev isn't going to drip feed content like so many other Patreon projects that get some notoriety. If it will still be a Patreon project much longer that is. Have they made some kind of official statement on the "review"? Can't really think of something in the game that could be described as glorifying violence or rape, and the art is far from photorealistic so it shouldn't get dinged there either.

Genex love from what the dev said on discord is under review because of "glorification of sexual violence" and beastiality. I guess monster girls are considered beastiality now lol. Like I sand in another post, I think the strategy is just to keep coming up with dumb rules to make it really hard for devs to have their games on patreon, so they move on their own to other platforms. They don't want to deal with the backlash of hundreds of devs and their fanbases all at once. It will not surprise me if in the next 2 or 3 years they decide to ban all games. Most devs don't want to, but they should start seriously considering moving their games to other platforms because you never know what dumb rule they will come up next.

This remake is "you should have left this in the drafts" visualized. To hell with complaints about any other aspect of it, this remake makes the original look Shakespearean in comparison. The intro was snappy, to the point, and quickly established the whole deal so you can get to the fucking in a timely manner. THIS version's intro went on for so long, I lost my boner. 'Nuff said.

So many narrative decisions included make me go "but for why tho??" Why try to string along your fanbase with so many promises when you, at the end of the day, knew that you wouldn't be able to deliver? And don't say they were rushed because at this stage, what's another month or two to polish and add stuff? Adding in systems no one (I don't THINK) asked for, changing up the models, conceptualizing a remake when the original was starting to really hit its stride, none of it makes sense.

Shit's disheartening. Hope y'all find joy in it though.

They obviously learned the lesson of first tumblr, and then almost OnlyFans before they reverted that going PC/family friendly overnight will disintegrate your website faster than an h-bomb, so they're definitely going for a death by 1,000 cuts strategy. Pretty soon all that will pass their censors will be the most vanilla romance fare that you might as well not call it porn anymore, and they'll be satisfied to leave that there and have a bit of their cake + whatever mainstream appeal they've accrued.

Honestly we need a payment processor who just says fuck all the countries with weird-ass rules (get a VPN), that can have enough cache to function in mainstream transactions but mitigate the risk of adult content. That's pretty pie-in-the-sky but we can't have the adult scene go back to M'n'F type content and people working for updoots on Newgrounds tier stuff or vanilla only. subscribestar is good, but I'm not sure what's keeping it from catching on (I'm guessing it's the "risk" with adult content that always seems to be an issue, I haven't done enough research to know for sure).

CHANGES:
Sadly I will need to cut the prologue in half, that means that only the Heaven and Hell events will be presented this month, and move the Hospital event for next month(January or update V0.1.5) the reason of this is because I found some errors and story related stuff on the hospital event that I need to solve and add asap, and with the holidays coming I dont think I would reach the time to check up completly all that data(Plus I dont think it will be possible for me to work on the game while my family members are around during Christmas lol).

He actually said it was coming last month, but given that Heaven and Hell got pushed back to last month, most of us who are inclined to charitability have assumed the Hospital prologue will be coming this month... If that's not the case then it will be an absolute L on Snats' part unless he's taken a bunch of feedback to make some substantive changes, because the impression was that what needed to be done on the second half is mostly bugfixing/testing.

So unless he was lying or he is indeed making feedback-based changes, there is no reason to not expect the update some time this month. There's no reason to assume "error fixing" and "story-related stuff" should take more than an additional month-and-a-half, assuming Snats was already basically done with renders, area scripts, and most of the writing. I haven't been on the Discord, and the SS page isn't showing any updates; I'm assuming it's just not updating for non-members. So until someone is willing to leak some form of progress, we have to assume he at best grossly misrepresented the work that was left on the Hospital prologue or was inspired to make some substantive improvements. The worst assumptions are of course already all over the thread.

Damn.. snats just made an announcement on discord, he will just have the game on SS from now on. At least he will have more creative freedom on SS, but most of his support was on patreon and there will be a good number of people that won't be able to support him on SS.
