The old version of the game prior to the remake still has a lot more content than the current build. There's still plenty of characters that have yet to be introduced that have a handful of scenes in the og. The remake is also going at a much slower pace, seemingly trying to explore the universe more, where the og was practically a nonstop fuckfest. For example in the og it only takes two or so scenes for the protagonist to fuck Tomoe's brains out the second they realize what naughty doctor she's been unlike the repeated night visitations shown now. And while I can aappreciate watching her fall into hopeless cock-drunk addiction there better be that moment where we take her and break her like we did in the original.

While there is more exposition the actual major story point that we're at when compared to the original game would be just after you wake up at the hospital. Now it should be acknowledged that there is a decent amount of new dialogue that happens between the MC and the family members as well as a whole new plot point that gets covered on the news, but if you're hoping to experience familiar content from the OG I'm afraid you'll be sorely disappointed.
