I think this remake was worth. He's objectively gotten better at character creation, there were major clipping issues with the old models that he's resolved, the characters are even more unique than they were from stock Koikatsu characters before while maintaining his signature aesthetic, we get even more "household" members, and hopefully he improves some of the writing from early on; I think he's gotten better on that front.

He had absolutely zero experience with any 3d work when he started this project (well, I guess he did from the game he made that got obliterated when he lost a hard drive that never saw the light of day) and put out an expansive project that didn't rely on the lazy toolkit a lot of Koikatsu creators do that make their games instant ignores. Even so, he saw the flaws in his work and potential for improvement and decided what he'd done wasn't up to what the skills he'd acquired since beginning this project enabled him to do and wouldn't be a good foundation going forward, as great as it already is.

He's not going to gain exponential leaps in skill in another year to the point where it would warrant restarts/complete redesigns as this first project has. Any changes we get going forward will probably be more in terms of animation, lighting, posing, and writing skills which will just result in incrementally better updates. I haven't given a cent to him (not proud of it or anything, just stating facts in case anyone thinks I'm shilling. I might this year since I'm not broke but saving for more important things as well), but this is clearly far and away the most creative use of koikatsu for a game creator with an actual story behind their work and the competition isn't even close IMO.

I know I'm probably responding to a throwaway/jokey comment but I think a lot of people are underestimating the level of improvement this reboot constitutes in a technical sense. Honestly I haven't minding waiting over a year for this (damn, it's been that fucking long...) and don't mind waiting a bit more. Besides, Power Vacuum and Shattered Minds updated got plenty to tide me over .

Yeah I agree it was his first game and he learned from the mistakes and all that and this one will be more polished, just saying he showed us 8 months of a remake and 80% of what he showed is not going to be in this release, so hope a year from now all the stuff he worked on this time he will keep so updates come out very fast

When he first released this game he already had a lot of characters created that were not in the original prologue. I think having most of the character designs, maps, etc done before the prologue is released, is a good thing since after all that stuff is out of the way he can just focus on the story and the lewd parts. Designing the characters and having each one of them feel unique is probably one of the most time consuming parts of a game. It sucks having to wait a year for the remake but I think after it is released he will go back to a much more regular update schedule.

Is it me only, or is it a bit tiring how fast the mc goes to have sex with everyone and a lot of side chicks getting introduced to the point of getting boring? The world theme is amazing, the mc is jsut a bit... trash imo. The amount of side chicks getting introduced isn't bad, but having sex with every single one of them just makes me not like the mc. Althought this is just a mere opinion, the game as whole, the idea, the world theme, etc are PEAK. Just wish I had more control over who i would like to have sex with and who i jsut need t be friends with

I think you kinda forgot that he has to have sex with as many people as he can since he tries to acumulate energy to free demons from hell.
So it would be kinda counterproductive to choose to not have sex if MC has chance.

Right, I remember that at the beginning of the game, but then suddenly the main character stopped mentioning it for a while, and I started to forget about it. Then, during the sex scenes, the reason didn't seem to be about freeing the demon; it felt more like it was just for fun, in my opinion. He should have had internal thoughts about his goal, with more focus on the actual reason he was there. As it stands, freeing the demons feels like a side quest in the way it's being handled.

Not gonna lie, this is the only porn game where the world is more interesting than the sex itself, lol. I wish there were another novel like 'Twisted World' that expands more on the world and the characters, etc., instead of forcibly ignoring the world and focusing solely on sex.

You're also forgetting that the MC was a degenerate gooner who fapped himself to death. Everything is totally in line with his personality. Some games are just gonna have an MC you don't like. Not everything has to be a self-insert fantasy.
