Come on. He listened to all the criticism from the players and changed everything that the audience didn’t like? Hard to believe. 
But it’s for the best, this is a visual novel, not a hardcore RPG.

getting rid of perks is good because they weren't even used, only Perceptive changed anything noticeable. but I'm a bit worried about removing the initial freeroam, there were different ways to do things, so I'm not sure how it will work now

I am glad he listen to the feedback I am very happy with these changes they fix most of my complains that I had with the game props to Drifty for it, if this was DPC he would never change anything even if people complained.
Respectfully, I suspect this will be one of those games where I play a few updates and then part ways.
The Lis are gorgeous and have well defined personalities and the story seems interesting so far (it's a mystery vn so it's hard to judge at this stage). The main problem for me is that most of the Lis fall into at least one of the following unattractive categories:
Criminal
Slut/nudity job
Secretive/manipulating MC for unknown purpose
Generally Bitchy
The Lis that I like so far are Jackie, Teagan, Anita, Sea and Lin.

yeah I mean I hate free roams but I used to use them to avoid certain girls routes
will the game put in new ways to avoid girls routes or do I just avoid being romantic when I talk to them now
now I have to figure out this game all over again

thank fuck... I was already very skeptic of this game after the initial release, basically none of the new mechanics sat right with me... never liked sandbox games, and the freeroam stuff here reminded them of those. Grind, locking you out content and shit like that. At least in BaDIK you have Sancho who made an excellent mod to somewhat deal with the excessive freeroam and all other shit like minigames... you don't have' that here. I've been sitting on this update since the moment it came out and didn't feel like starting it. And I'm a huge fan of LoF.

I came to the conclusion there's only one romance option, which leads to the beach massage and fixing Synne's straps. Once that action is completed, the option still shows in the next dialogue choice but is greyed out (because it's completed).
I haven't checked the scripts to confirm this.
