This is normal.
If this causes you significant discomfort, you can play the final version later.

I went with "Ignore" and everything went normal, apart from transitions not skipping which wasn't the end of the world anyway.

WHY is this "normal"?
This is normal because writing is rewriting. The game is in active development.

Even the slightest change in the code at the beginning shifts the order of the lines, and the save files stop working.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Models are always great!! It's always good to have multiple average, thin and thick body types.
Non animated sex scenes can be good but these are trash. There is barely an insertion then it it's over to the next scene. Give something for the player to enjoy. Show good angles such as POV showing the round ass in doggy and not her face until it switches to missionary or cowgirl. Better yet, multiple angles for each scene.
Don't make us wait too long for the MC to grow up. That trope is tired and annoying and a bad decision from the start.

MC decisions made no sense. He wants to sleep with them but he chooses to have a grandmother personality installed. I know you're trying to have incest in the story, but write it so the decisions make sense.

Animations. Take a little more time and add some decent animation.

You're showing disrespect for your audience in the consistent game breaking changes. Having people spend time going back to play from the start after updates should not be normal.Take the time and work through your story. We are not paid to be your editors or QA. There is great potential in your games that is consistently overlooked.

Well, maybe I’m making very small updates, but that’s the maximum I can manage. I have a cool idea for the ending, and I will see it through. This will be my voice. Your saves will never work, because that’s the nature of a flexible creative process.

I think the main thing that needs improving in this game is the sex scenes. I don't think they need to be animated, but they do need to be extended during the actual sex, as well as having a climax and a bit of dialogue afterwards. I found it very weird that once penetration starts, the sex scene is like 3 more frames and then suddenly skips to the next space ship scene.

It also seems to me like the dev wants to make a futa game, but for whatever reason decided to market it as a milf game. Don't get me wrong - I do like futa but it's odd that the single futa character has gotten so much attention. If you're interested in a futa game then go for it, there's definitely a market for it since Star Periphery seems to do quite well.

I do really like the character models, and the plot is mostly fun and lighthearted, but by the time i got to the end of the current update I felt like none of the sex scenes I saw was worth the time I spent playing.

Why is there still so little content after multiple years, you'd expect there to be over 15k dialogue lines at the very least after that amount of time, but it's just over 3k.

Have to call you out on being disingenuous on this point.

The developer of any game knows exactly what changes have been made from one update to the next. Therefore, adding a little bit of code (or having someone help them do it) to the save import process to carry player choices into the new version is not really all that diffucult - it's just that some devs can't be bothered to do it.

It is a conscious choice made knowing full well that it is tantamount to giving longtime players of a game (i.e., the game/dev's biggest fans) the middle finger and saying "fuck you I don't care about your time or if you decide to quit playing my game because I don't care about you at all" right to their faces. It is NOT an unavoidable part of the "creative process" as you are suggesting.

At least be honest and say "I don't care if I make my games hard to like because my actions (not my words) consistently tell players that I don't care about their time and frustration."

If game saves were never meant to work until after a game was completed then the feature wouldn't be in uncompleted games. A dev either cares about player experience or does not care, and regular save-breaking is probably the biggest "I don't care" flag in AVN's because importing variable data from old versions is not difficult at all even when older code has been modified because the dev knows exactly where/how it has been modified since the previous update.

If Ren'py itself undergoes a major update, players expect old saves not to work because the code has changed significantly in ways beyond dev control. But trying to conflate that kind of (infrequent) legitimate save-breaking with devs choosing not to bother adapting to their own coding changes between normal updates is dishonest. :cautious:

You have a very rich imagination, a lot of negativity, and no understanding of how games are made.

I mean, if almost all other AVNs have their older saves compatible with new versions (the only time they're not is because of major code changes), then why aren't yours compatible?
I honestly don't know what to tell you. There are many possible reasons why old saves might not work, almost always related to the code and they don't require major changes to break the saves. To name a few:

- Variables are deleted or renamed.
- The structure of classes or objects is changed.
- Label or jump names are changed.
- Assets used in that part are deleted or moved.
- The game logic is drastically changed.
- RenPy or library updates.

This last one is less common. It's not like RenPy has updates every two days, and I'm probably forgetting a ton of other reasons why a save might not work. I'm not a game developer, so I'm not that deep into the subject.
