I think it's still up in the air: from what I remember reading, it was originally planned to be a few versions ago would be the last for original UitC, but personal difficulties and some development and hiring issues with UitC 2 have made continuing to work on original UitC in the interim a necessity for the time being until they are solved. TBD when original UitC will truly cease development.

Would you believe that I still play Unaware of the World and actually prefer it?
It's so hard to explain.
I can see that the dev put a lot of effort into City, but I don't... like it? Can't quite put my finger on it... But, while I literally spent days playing World, despite telling myself it's so silly, and the graphic looks too simple... I kinda quickly ceased playing City.
I get that the characters are supposed to be better, but I don't actually like them more. And they kind of have weird posture. I created Jane with Slut background to see right away all there is to see in the game, customize her looks almost like Mr. Unaware avatar. Still, I kind of got used to the old Jane, who looked more cartoonish but in the end was kind of cute. City's Jane also giggles and moans each time she changes location, spots a shop or a gym... She giggles when people talk to her like about job offer (I don't know if it's because I created her with Slut background, but still). She giggles when she gets up from bed in the morning... Okay, she giggles and whines all the time. I had to completely mute female moans. I can see that the story remains practically identical: which is good for me, satisfies all my fetish (rape/trick/molest/raw/chikan/sleepfuck...), even my money fetish. Still, doesn't explain why do I have a problem. I think it might be the new "locations". I guess they look good. More "photorealistic", less cartoon. I actually like it... less?
I don't know. See, despite all the flaws, World was great game to fap to. The access to lewd was easy and frequent, plus it was kinda funny. After playing City for a while, I returned to play World again. And you know what? Maybe because it looks like cartoon. I mean, the park is so bright and sunny and gives you upbeat vibe and you enjoy yourself when you let your MC sleep on the bench or do a glory hole or pass out and have one of the hobos have their way with her. In City? The new "mean" looking design, you enter the toilet and the toilet seat looks so "realistic" that you catch yourself thinking "oh-oh, looks kind of dirty, I would not want to sit there." Like, you never have these thoughts playing the World! You go through dark alleys and dive into bins and sleep with hobos on dirty mattress, and it doesn't bother you there. You enjoy the kink. So, I think I realized the problem. And went back to play World... I understand that dev is now devoted to City, and World probably won't get another update. But, the only thing I'm missing in World is seeing cum filling the x-ray. And all the male NPCs should moan when they're cumming. Else it's perfect for me I guess, ha ha.

Hi good friend, I'm glad you're continuing to update the game and I hope you'll continue, but you can make a fix. The fix that I'm going to make is to turn back time every time you change roommates because I had both roommates but I kicked them out, but now I'm going to bring them back, and that doesn't allow it because there were already roommates. The same thing with the landlord, who after you break up with him [relationship] you don't see him at all, he doesn't come to take rent money. And I want you to make a "fix" that every time you break up a relationship or kick out roommates will be a "go back in time." If I break up with my partner, then my partner will still try to start over with the character and won't disappear completely because it's a shame to have to start over every time. It sucks.
