Still working through it, but I think I found out how to progress from there (when you are at 40 points):

Talk to the uncle when he is in front of the house (usually after breakfast, I think). You may also need to have your chores done for that day. He should tell you to clean gutters. You then get the ladder from the shed and place it in the backyard.
