I don't think there is a canonical transition just yet but I assume it goes something like:
1. Set off to the lodge by the lake but encounter dealer, get saved by sister.
2. Explore around and encounter the neutral witches like Herba or the mermaid
3. They are perverted and set off your masochism, which your sister takes note of.
4. Encounter Dealer again, but your sister thinks you are a perv loser by then and lets you get taken in order to track the witches.
5. You wind up getting sold to Kuro.

imo all the stuff such as pissing, shitting and farting should've been a trait of one of the upcoming witches. So whenever you want to eat someone elses shit, you just go and knock her door. What else brings you items on the shoreline, also I remember reading over dev progress concerning an npc with the lake and there is a loadscreen that states "Sometimes I hear sounds coming from the bottom of the lake" and you can find the file for the animation it plays in the content/movies folder, if she isn't a mermaid then she's either some nudist or a witch.


Also it seemed to me like Alice's charge to protect you isn't her driving motivation, unless you care to elaborate on how that's wrong.
