I support his Patreon, he gives monthly updates.

That being said, you are all well aware of the HUGE scope he has at the moment. The updates are sometimes quite bare bones but he does share animations every month since October (And they were linked in this thread)
Where where? Link to pateron? Or link to video directly?

In fact that's what I would have wanted too....

I mean, the author makes use of polygonal models and animations in a sublime way.

He could easily eliminate the openworld phase and in its place could easily create a map in 2D (classic rpg style) or mini 3D in which to move the protagonist.

Or even maps in prerendering in which to move the mini 3D characters (on map), an example is given by the classic and timeless Final Fantasy 7 (PSX), which gives an exemplary idea in this sense.

And only leave the part completely in 3D for combat-sex!

This would allow more opportunities to customize the 'adventure, add many more female characters, many more locations, many more erotic scenes, etc..

In my opinion, it seems that the author is focusing too much on fetish and putting in the background what should be the nature of this game.

An RPG, in fact.

PS: And I'm not even a Japanese person to say that, but a Japanese person would think the same thing.

Edit:

Here is an example of a 3D mini map.

The game (very funny and one of the best Beat 'em up around) is Dragonball Fighter Z, also written with the Unreal Engine.

The main character can interact with all the game's elements, characters and worlds, and then move on to the real action once in the game.

If someone has the kindness to submit this as a suggestion to the author of this game, it would be a great courtesy to us and with our most welcome appreciation.
Now, now we haven't even seen the next demo yet, for all we know that could be what he's going for with just higher quality assets, he could just be having a mini hub world where you do stuff in and it might just be slightly more involved then that of dbfzs, I doubt he's going with the massive open world 100s of things to do route.

I completely disagree!!! Why would we want to get another 2D rpg game like all the others ? And why not let him have the authority and freedom to be authentic in his own way by being the 1st to create an open world fighting game that includes adult content ? Im actually more then impressed and hyped at the same time because this will be the 1st game of many upcoming others and the start of a new adult game era. So just sit tight and watch till the next release after that u can still complain if he should focus on other stuff.

Let's just hope this doesn't turn into a fetch quest empty open world with the important parts rewarded only when you interact with Alice.

Because proper studios with hundreds of employees and multimillion dollar budgets still fail to make good open world games. I'm not naive enough to think that a small handful of amateur developers with basically no money can do any better.

its not impossible tho
just because its a small team or only 1 person doesnt mean they cant do it
i mean look at stardew valley only made by 1 person fnaf was originaly also only 1 person and became a hit
+ they make it with the joy of making it and not because they are told to by the company
breeders of nephelym also a good example

If you saw demo videos from around 4 months ago or so, I'd say they've succeeded, at least in making a limited area open world" with a few indoor areas, etc. Of course making it bigger makes more time, but I'd say they've made it.
