Hey, just wanted to update everyone about the game.
The game is NOT ABANDONED. It isn’t on hold per say, the latest update has been close to done for a while now. But both me and Sweetchily have gone through a lot in the time since the last update.
Not to trauma dump, but I had a LOT of bad stuff happen in my family in the last year including my Aunts health condition declining (cancer), the death of my grandfather, and a very sudden move that left me reeling.
There are good news, my Aunt made it out :’) and she’s currently doing well. My grandfather can now Rest In Peace after a life well lived and I’ve been healing with family.
The left over bad news is that where i currently live, I don’t have access to internet. I only have my old ass phone. So it’s been hard to update between me and Sweetychili after everything. Between mental health stuff, its not always easy to move in from one day to the next as many of you know.
It’s not just me, but I won’t air out Sweetychili’s problems. Regardless, we’re really close to finishing this update. And we plan on getting the updates back to a more regular release schedule
I can understand people being inpatient or disappointed at the game, but hopefully the end of Chapter 7 is enough to give people some hope.
On that note, let’s talk about Chapter 7.
Chapter 7 is split into 2 parts. The first part is already available on Patreon and the second part is close to being finished.
this chapter is the culminatin of a few plot points that have been started since update 3 and some from 4. If people would rather not be spoiled about the general contents of the chapter, I’d suggest you not read the spoilers. (Though for the most part it’s very light)
First, it shows the aftermath of the Allison’s birthday party. The party had some fun things going on if anyone played the last update and there are a few teases into more important aspects and to future and last storylinesAfter the party we have a few characters feeling some regret towards their actions, not more than our girls Allison and Emily. So there are a couple of moments reflected because of it.
Now, the main focus of this chapter is Taylor. I’ll spoiler the rest in the next paragraph:

The rest of the plot lines are coming to a close for the spoilered part above is the start of a bigger change in our MC. MC has always had a trauma in his past and the end of Chapter 7 helps him reset, so to speak, and it’ll be the start of something healthier and more PROACTIVE!
That said, we never want our game to be a fuck fest. It’s still a slowburn, and we’ll never add cheap sex scenes into the plot for no reason… that said, we CAN add fun scenes with other characters in extra scenes when our main plot is lacking some adult content
Finally, I’ll just address everyone personally. For those that like this game, thank you for playing. We know our game isn’t for everyone, but we’re trying hard. We love this game and hope to keep going so we’ll still be here. We’ve fallen in love with these characters and I hope you have too.
We will release Chapter 7 part one soon here. (It’s a still a decent update, and bigger than chapter 1 and 2 combined) So look forward to that
Chapter 8 will mark some big changes so hopefully when you play chapter 7, you’ll understand that direction a littlebit better.All I’ll say is that Chapter 7 had MC pretty upset from some life changing event, but maybe Chapter 8 will shed some light on it. Until then though, look forward to the future cause it’s looking a bit brighter For me :’)

Nice to hear from ya Larry right from the inception of this game found it quite interesting and even remember asking a few questions here about the potential future of where the story is going to go once you had stepped in to help out Chily; glad to hear it is still on the development path as was touch concerned about the same, but pleased to hear the news. Although unfortunate to hear about the bad stuff which you had written above, am happy to know that you are dealing with it in a healthy way along with your loved ones. So yea much power to you; do take care there!

So, the beginning of the game from the first few chapters were introductory chapters focused on the Love Interests.
This games story telling is heavily inspired by Japanese VNs where there is a common route and then it diverts into each path later. That said, while you’re see everyone’s story (as they are all important to the MCs story) you don’t have to interact with them romantically.
For example, Rachel is MCs ex girlfriend. She’s important for MCs story as MC helps her little sister. However, if you choose to, you don’t have to do any romantic elements of her story once it starts proper.
As far as virgins go, there will be more than one. That’s all I’ll say
If you played the game, she was the girl that works at the gym. MC befriends her with Emily

But to answer your concerns. It is a bit of a slow burn only cause we heavily characterize the girls in the game. Maybe that’s not for you, and that’s fine. But it does have a good amount of story content, but there will be some “plot” content soon.
I don’t think it’ll take 6-8 months for the next update, rather, we’ve been very busy with our own lives unfortunately. That’s why I made the joke above. But I always suggest people wait until the content THEY want is in the game. I do the same. So don’t worry
Appreciate the transparency and indeed have loved the game. It is steadily growing in stature and has potential for sure.

Biting my nails waiting for an update haha. Really like this game, that pool scene with Lisa stayed in my mind for a good time it was very romantic, one of the reasons that made me remember this game after a time that i forgot about it.

Yeah, we’re still working on it. The problem comes from finding time away from real life things.
Once things have a more stable rhythm I’ll definitely share details here and on patreon. I’ll say that it’s been close to done for a while now. So cross your fingers that we can finish it soon
As far as the pool scene goes, thanks so much! We tried really hard to make that scene as romantic as possible. I’d say a pretty romantic moment is coming up at the end of CH7 so look forward to it!

It's gotten pretty quiet here. It's a shame, I thought we'd at least get to see one or two pictures. But it seems to have completely disappeared from the face of the earth.

yeah im hoping that changes I really want to check this game out but I want to wait for the next update first first since it sounds like it has been awhile

Not feeling super optimistic about this VN's future at this point, sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.

Soooooo, let’s break into this.
I can only speak for myself as Sweetychily can speak for himself. Anyway, this update has been basically finished for over a month now, and closer to 80% finished 3 months from now.
I explained some of the reasons why in a post above. TLDR, still lacking internet and a reliable place to stay. These past 6 months have been incredibly hard for me. All of these things related to real life problems. Not to mention the mental stress all of the at causes.
To be clear, I’m not making excuses, just explaining haha. Anyway, in the last few weeks I’ve gotten an amazing resurgence in both happiness and motivation. I’ve been taking better care of my health and a better home situation is looking closer to reality.
All that basically saying that the update is on its last steps. It’s at 98.5% finished. Script is 95% done and renders are at 95% done. Now the reason it’s not done yet are factors that neither I nor my partner could forsee. Maybe he’ll explain it, but he’s been both busy and had this to deal with so it’s not so simple.
All of that said, when SC gets back, we can finish the update lickety-split.
Last thing, one of you pointed out that there should have been previews or something? That’s my bad. I should have posted some a long time ago. So I’ll post some in the coming days and I’ll start with a post later today.
To close, there aren’t many things that make me happier than making this game, especially after the raw deal 2024 gave me (and I’m sure a lot of you). I love the characters that Sweetychily and I have made and I hope you all do too. Thanks for sticking around! I’ll post something a little later today. My cat demands attention

even tho this has the tag of death glad to see it's not dead been wanting to play this game for sometime but decided awhile back probably best to wait for the next update. It only has the tag of death on technicality. I fumbled and forgot to give a proof of life update before.
As far as that character, that’s Taylor. If you like her, she’s the focus of the latest Chapter 7. She’s awesome!
As far as slow burn, if you’re familiar with Japanese visual novels, it’s similarly to that. It has a common route and then later it’ll branch out to different paths, or harem if you’d prefer that. This is all in the making, so we’re still in the common route.
