Also have the new developers knowledge about how the story was going on or is a full fanmade product?

Creator blessing or not, I am yet to see a fan remake that has half the quality of the original. if the people involved had the skillset to live up to the original, they would likely be making their own games, not picking up other people's work.

I guess it includes the original version. The original version ended with version 0.5, this one appears to start with 0.7. And most of the preview images seem to be taken from the original version. File size is massively increased and would be an awful lot for a first release. This needs a compressed version. (Update: Now there is one that is a bit smaller than the uncompressed original and a bit bigger than the compressed version of the original that was made by a different compresser. See below.)
