As someone who has seen dozens of games stall, fail, or otherwise become a drag for their creators to continue: please do not go back and update things you've already done so they "look prettier", and just focus on getting the project done. I might not be a game developer, but I've written both professionally and for personal projects, so I can tell you with 100% honesty and clarity that going back to self-edit a project--especially writing--is just a trap that will end up stalling you. You don't want to devote time that could better be spent preparing the ending of the project, or laying the groundwork for a new game, by endlessly going back to stuff you've already finished just "to make it perfect".I completely understand, guys. I followed the text, creating the images according, but I felt the impact on our users about the perspective change. That's why I performed the complete separation of content, to keep this game in the male protagonist genre. Corrupting Kayleigh probably has its audience but they are different audiences.
Personally, as a gamer, I'm not exactly the audience for these games either. Even the game that I think is a reference in the genre, Exciting Affection, I tried to play and I didn't get too caught up.
My biggest concern with Unforgettable Dinner right now is that the models are getting old, the sets... I can't suddenly replace everything. I'll work as much as possible to finish this game, finish it well, improving as much as possible to deliver a complete product, a good one. But as soon as possible let's move on to the next.
My husband and I are long-time supporters, and this is great advice. Unforgettable needs to be finished and wrapped up in a nice bow. I can only speak for myself, but I'd like to see something new from Max. A new, self contained story would be a great change of pace.As someone who has seen dozens of games stall, fail, or otherwise become a drag for their creators to continue: please do not go back and update things you've already done so they "look prettier", and just focus on getting the project done. The best draft of anything is a finished draft. Worry about presenting something "prettier" or "better written" after you've finished what you're doing now so that fans who are sticking with you now don't get burned. (This is also, again coming from someone who writes and used to self-edit all the time to his detriment, going to pay off in the long run for you as a creative. By focusing on finishing, the people who enjoy your work now will become the foundational audience for your next project, which will then draw more people to it because your grateful fans for the first game will already be onboard for an "improved" second game...versus having less fans come to your second game because you spent so much time "perfecting" this game and pissed off people who are already fans by making them wait.
I agree, I was very unconfortable with the lights in the first version and I found a way to rebuild with a low effort. But this is over, I'm fine with the rest of the images. As someone who has seen dozens of games stall, fail, or otherwise become a drag for their creators to continue: please do not go back and update things you've already done so they "look prettier", and just focus on getting the project done. The other languages were made using google translator, which is not so good. I've already made the translation files available for someone native to the language to review, but I had no luck finding people to help.In game not only the English and Portuguese languages, there are and many other languages. It is possible to choose in the beginning. Thanks

We're happy to support good devs! And it's an honor to have this support.
Not if you do it right. Not if you stick to story telling instead of going the porn rout. They don't have to be a sex addict. They can hate every second of it. But I am into blackmail and corruption so that's my kink. everyone has one.I'm pretty tired of seeing naive virgin female protagonists being in rapey scenarios. If I'm being completely honest with you, I'm tired of seeing naive virgins, period. It's a boring stock character archetype. Their whole point of existence, as the comment above me highlights, is to lose their virginity to somebody. Whatever hint of personality or ambition they had before will almost always become irrelevant by the end of the story, because the whole point of that kind of story is to mold them into being a one-dimensional sex addict. It's very boring to read and it's probably even more boring to write.
For that reason I felt that Corrupting Kayleigh was a nice change of pace. It wasn't perfect and I don't think it completely avoided the things you're concerned with, but it gave us a version of Kayleigh who had more agency over her actions. For that reason, if Max decides to continue her story in a new game, I hope we don't go down another route with Edmond. I would like to see an independent Kayleigh taking ownership of her sexuality without the need of someone to corrupt her. It worked ok for me in Corrupting Kayleigh, but it would feel repetitive if Max used the same theme for a new game.I'm pretty tired of seeing naive virgin female protagonists being in rapey scenarios. I actually enjoy blackmail and corruption. While I agree that corrupting a naive and chaste character can be done right, I can't really imagine it being particularly interesting with this setting and Kayleigh's personality, especially with how the games have been written so far. For a somewhat believable progression to work, it would have to be very, very different from the style of story telling and gameplay we've seen so far. Which is asking a lot.Not if you do it right. I am tired of seeing horse cock on every MC. It is gross and very unnecessary. I am a straight man so I get off to the girl, tits, and vagina, not the man in the scene. the less dick I see the better. And it makes it even more humiliating to the female.
I'm not really sure if I agree with the agency part. If she asserts her boundaries, the game immediately ends. If she agrees to perform the task, neither options A or B or variations in the scenes seem to make a difference in how she thinks or acts in subsequent tasks. Basically no matter what she decides, the only thing that actually seems to matter is what she chooses to do back at the house. There was literally no consequences in the choices she makes. None of her choices affected her willingness t o blow Jim. Her mom only fights Edmund if you make her. Ellyce doesn't stand up to Edmund unless you, the player, tell her to. I can't say she has agency when her actions have no permanent effects on herself or the world around her. I do agree that her having autonomy would make things a lot more interesting. For that reason I felt that Corrupting Kayleigh was a nice change of pace. Hey MM, thanks for the detailed post! From what we've heard I think the club will be a great game. I'm happy to hear that you guys are making the game you want to make and not simply trying to please everyone. I will admit that I was one of those that felt the game got a little to mean during Corrupting Kayleigh. I felt really badly for Jennifer because I really liked her character in Unforgettable. I really enjoyed it when she got to punch Claire later in Corrupting, but it took a long time to get there.Hiya - the writer here. After a certain level of success both Max and I began to chase opinions and got away from our instincts, both narratively and graphically. I'm learning that the best we can do - as someone pointed out - is create what we want to create and hope what we do pleases as many people as possible.
We do read and take in all feedback. We even have an option for people to commission exactly what they want from us, but I think bending the narrative on the anvil of every expressed opinion is a fool's errand, and I've been occasionally foolish. Before the Jim/Kayleigh debate it was the PoV debate (That PoV debate is something I'm still fixing with The Club because I've gone one way, then the other, then back to the original intent and it's been soul-sucking and maddening!). Before the PoV discussion it was that my writing was "mean", so I tried to be less "mean" even though that kind of kink was one of the cornerstones for the original project, something I liked to explore, and something a lot of clients responded to positively; and these are just opinions about the writing, never mind the opinions expressed on the interfaces and graphics. And hey, all of those are legit opinions, and I'm glad they're being expressed because they give me something to consider, options to evaluate. Where I get in trouble is where I start making changes whether I believe in them or not as I try to please an absolutely diverse set of clients; I've come to realize that in following every opinion the project tends to get thrown around like the bridge crew of STtOS.
Some of you will like The Club, some won't. It's got Kayleigh, and Jim doesn't paly a major part. That being said, I like that we've tried to fill in some of the paths that were written but not developed in our past projects. This addresses some of our clients' desires, which is good, and lets me polish The Club so that Max has the whole narrative right from the start. One hope I have is that in our next project both the narrative and the visuals reach a higher standard than our previous products.
As always, if you want to talk, I'm open to conversation and open to being persuaded. You can get me on dm's here, or on our patreon site,You must be registered to see the links. To those of you who enjoy our products month-after-month, thanks; I hope they give you some nice naughty moments. And, of course, thanks especially to those of you who are able to support us.
Be well,
MM
