Easy way is magic damage. If you're doing a phys build, there's a smith in the poison swamp (same area as max treasure and before the cult village) that can make a magic damage sword for the broken sword and 15 iron ore which you can get from the mines. I haven't tried guns or item damage, so maybe those work.

you will need to fight a boss make sure your not exhausted like i was first time fighting him
edit: to open that door you need to exit out left on the map where the explosions are then continue left until you see the leaver
Go left , ok so you see the closed gate your trying to open ? Right ? Well continue the path and you will end up finding a lever
Then use MTool and no-clip , Use the friend / raider that you can purchasse at the guild . It's not that difficult , lvl up just a bit , buy better gear . In the sauna there is a 15k exp stuff every 3 days . It's really easy to lvl up
That bar only lowers when you remove the 2 statues from the 1st floor entrance and put them on the 3rd floor entrance.
It's right below that , open the door on the left then go a bit south then ur inside the vilage
There's a 3rd floor entrance? Sorry, but where is that? General location is fine, just anything you remember helps.
